I really like it!
I do still think hes one of the best acts to come out of the show, just down to the fact that he's still just one of the lads and he's having fun. Hes very grounded and not divaish at all.

Thoughts?

First listen review - Not feeling it. May grow on me but i didn't like Please don't let me go. Olly has disappointed me as a whole anyway music wise.

I know i should judge him as a whole by his album but i only check an album out if the songs released click with me.

Much like with "Please Don't Let Me Go", "Thinking of Me" has grown on me over time. It's fun, it's catchy and it's Paolo Nutini meets Will Young; so he's got that area of music filled for the winter.

He's promised to do another naked photoshoot if this single gets #1 like the previous single, so that'll pull figures; plus he's sure fire to get a slot on the X-Factor.

Good luck to him.

I think he should have released This One is For the Girls which would have been a club hit too.

What song has been sampled for the verses? It's doing my head in!

I don't like it just because it's using a sampled song.

i didnt even know it was sampled.

i wouldnt not like a song if it's sampled, if its a catchy tune, im hooked.

I've been searching on google, but I can't find anything about it, but I know a song has been sampled and I think it's an indie/britpop song from the 90's.

For me, if I know a song uses a sample but it's more hidden, I just feel the artist is being lazy and can't be bothered to make their own melody, but that's just me.

It's... blah. Not a strong single, sounds like album filler and considering his album isn't out yet that's not a good thing.

Samples have historically never really bothered me to be honest. A lot of the time, I love a song, and it's only months afterward when I find out it uses a sample, and it would just seem silly to me to suddenly stop liking a song I've loved for months because I discover it uses a sample.

Plus, I don't think the general public seem to care about sampling. Some of the biggest hits of recent time have used samples (e.g. Bad Romance, I Gotta Feeling, Poker Face, Empire State of Mind, Alejandro, OMG, We No Speak Americano, etc.), and nobody really seems to care.

However, I don't like this song anyway, sample or not. I find it a bit boring to be honest.
