I think One Direction will because they're a group and to kinda start things off with a bang.

I doubt Katie will ever sing first because she needs as many votes as possible and they would never risk her going since shes the controversial one this year.

Cher won't either,

By my reckoning a Cheryl act is due to open the show : one of Simon,Louis and Dannii's have gone first for the last three weeks.

£50 that it's Rebecca?

It won't be TreyC since she was bottom 2 last week
no to Cher since she'll have the big production etc and the hype
no to Katie because shes the vunerable one in Cheryl's group

If it was fair it be one of Cheryls this week but the show isnt fair so who knows who be on. But if it is Cheryl I bet she puts Rebecca on first as she alwasy had Rehecca start first out of the gils.

To be fair to Cher, hasn't she performed near enough the start every week now?

Hmmm...

We've had 3 live show so all but 13 of them have performed first.... therefore a bizarre question - I mean will Matt or Rebecca perform first? What about Wagner?

Cher and Katie are due to perform 1st for the girls - Katie in particular is due an early slot

I think Cher will perform last this week because shes singing a ballad.

Where each act has performed so far:

Katie = 10/16 | 11/14 | 12/12
One Direction = 13/16 | 4/14 | 6/12
Cher = 7/16 | 5/14 | 4/12

Where each act have performed in their respective cateogories

Katie = 3rd, 4th, 4th
One Direction = 4th, 1st, 1st
Cher = 2nd, 2nd, 2nd

So its just Katie really who hasn't had an early slot

I'm sure one of them will sing first when they've all reached the final 3.

..and it should be an over or group that closes the show (as a girl has closed 2 of 3 shows and a boy closed the other).

If katie doesn't open the show it's a big fat fix designed to keep her in as long as possible. If she's good then the public will vote for her.

Of course when they are in the final; once they've cheated their way there of course.

Why doesn't someone tackle Simon about this on Xtra Factor - point out that he is being unfair to certain acts and over indulging Katie

They never will because Simon can't risk them singing first, being forgotten and going out. It's a shame really.

I'm not a betting person, but I would def place money on these acts never being on first until the finals.

I imagine the producers try block questions like this out, or if not, ensure they're not chosen

..... Oh for the innocent days of UK Pop Idol when the running order was decided by the remaining singers drawing lots........

Exactly - Konnie can't think on her feet quick enough - and it would look decidedly suspicious if she was spluttering that wasn't the question i had on my list
