What a spoiled brat she is. Incompetent, inarticulate, gobby and carp at selling. The whingy expression when she realised she was being fired and bad sportsmanship with the two who beat her and she says she is fine with what went on
Who will employ her now?

I was cracking up at her "karmically retributed" "professionality".

I will only miss her for her malapropism's, certainly not for her nastiness and for acting like a spoilt child.

Good riddance!

she did tend to take liberties with her speech. Some might say she allowed for a certain amount of "manoeuvrement"......

To give her some credit, four of the five words they quoted on the Fired BBC 2 show were real. Only ""manoeuvrement" was made-up.

Yep, there is such a word as "conversate."

I've never heard of it!

Exactly. Being real words or not is missing the point. They are the wrong words for that moment. I think Melissa likes to use long words as an act, to seem more pro-fess-io-nal. I'd guess the delusional twit uses them so infrequently in real life she doesn't recognise the right words and so makes a mad guess at it.

With his track record, who'd want that job

yeah most of the words were real words, just used in the wrong context. Out of the word conversate comes conversation which i believe most of us use. And she did admit to making up the words. It was lucky that they were real words. I think she is one of those that talks to sound intelligent, but they don't know it comes across as just the opposite

I appreciate your feedback must have got right up Sugar's nose.

Sir. Lord....... dozy mare.

If pitching and selling are her strong points I would hate to see what she doesn't excel in.

I'm still laughing this morning.

However I now feel berefted as I shall furthersome be unabilitated to beneficiate from her philosophicating on commerciality.

Sad day.

Converse -> conversation. Conversate is most likely a clumsy back-formation from conversation.

Sadly I come across such people constantly in IT, who use "functionality" when they mean "function" because they think it sounds grand.

I had a high degree of 'comfortability' with her 'manouvrement' around the english language, she should be congratulated not 'retributed'.

I felt that Melissa's inventive use of the English language was actually quite Shakespearian.

And philosophical too.

Here we are making fun of Melissa's language. But we're ignoring what she said - about karmical retributionalism.

Was Melissa herself being karmically redistributed - by getting thrown off the show. Was that her own cumuppence.

What a silly, deluded and ignorant non-event she was! Amazed she didn't get sussed earlier.

How to hang yourself and your career in public with bells on.

Thought the You're Fired panel were amazingly kind to her. If she gets hired by anyone I suspect it will be for publicity but never for ability. She's so clueless

Dozy mare!

LOL.

She really didn't do herself any favours in the show. I only caught the first bit of the BBC2 show, does anyone know what she's doing now?

I'm theoretising that she's not working for the Plain English Society.

Yes I agree generally.

She said on Radio 5 today that she was in complete shock when she got fired hence why she took so long to get up.

OP, It was so funny as well as so annoying how she came out with that. A real bad loser, I bet she was fuming for months on end about that!
