The Apprentice: You're Fired (spoilers)

Sorry to say this but Melissa was an awful person and came across really badly. I'd even go so far as to call her a bitch but they went WAY too easy on her on The Apprentice: You're Fired! Dara was far too soft on her. Adrian Chiles i'm sure would have dug a little deeper. And no mention at all of all her fights with contestants in the previous shows!

She got away with it scot-free!

I thought she came across good on the Your Fired show, she had a sense of humour about herself.

My comment is about what she was like in the actual Apprentice show, not how she appeared afterwards on You're Fired months and months after filming ended.

I agree with your comment. The panel..wtf? Glad the audience wasn't swayed at all. Delusional then, and a year later much the same. A definate BB candidate only.

It is not big brother. I would hate The Apprentice turn into a chavvy show.

They could at least have made her cry and suffer for her horribilitude. Her self depracity fooled no one. Apart from the audience.

I agree and I thought Chris used the most appropriate word - obnoxious. However I'm sure the participants on Fired are told to keep it light and not say anything too critical, and if they do then to try and salve it with humour.

I was completely stunned when I saw Melissa's reaction to being fired, and very glad she wasn't my daughter. What a total bitch! No self-awareness whatsoever, and thinks that being aggressive and nasty is the way to get on. She's got a lot to learn, I'm afraid, but I wouldn't want to be the one who tries to teach her. Probably the most frightful candidate there's ever been on the Apprentice.

Since the last one and until the next one.

Did you not see Series 3 and 4? There were some scheming nasty pieces of work in those. Perhaps YF went easy because Melissa is more delusional and a pain rather than a devious monster.

Completely agree, she got a smooth ride despite having been as agressive as war tank in a city area !!!

They never shown the worst of her videos, maybe there was an agreement beforehand or they were afraid she would bite them ???

They should have had "Bra Woman" on the show tonight - in order to put her straight on a couple of things!!

(No pun intended!! )

I think inadvertantly you have hit on why "You're fired" has to go easy on the candidates. Its all very well on Big Brother to grill contestants about their behaviour the moment they come out of the house, but its going to be hard to justify (or even remember in some cases) your behaviour over a year later.

Melissa didn't come across as a horrible person to me, she seemed like somebody with issues of delusion and seemed to lose grip of herself under the pressure of the show and unravel.

Overall I liked her for her enthusiasm and the way she threw herself into the show. Was sort of sad to see her go. She was funny too. Her reception on 'Your Fired' seemed fine to me - it highlighted her flaws on the show but also gave her chance to respond. She didn't do anything genuinely horrible afterall.

I havent watched it yet, but with who was fired they should have got Michelle Mone in to have a word with her

I never noticed Moany Liza saying the same thing

I was glad that Melissa was fired, couldn't bear her anymore, but on You're Fired she reminded me of one of my best friends quite scary.
Won't tell them though.

I thought she came across well on YBF, and I don't think a YBF where they did nothing but take the piss out of the fired candidate instead of acknowledging any entertainment they brought to the show (like her interesting use of language) would be worth watching.

If there were never any candidates like Melissa on the show, it would be extremely boring.

She didn't seem to be a horrible person, just deluded about her own abilities and strengths. I worried for her sanity both from a comical point of view and seriously during the show but was left wondering if the show employs some kind of psychologist after seeing her dramatic image change on YF. People that change their image like that worry me. Period.

Why? I'd take a guess that she probably changes her look often. A whole year has passed between filming TA and last week on YF. She may just have got tired of people asking her if she was Gok Wan.

The show does have a psychologist to screen the short listed candidates and for the period of the shooting. The pressure of long hours, the stress and the isolation from family and friends is designed to wind them up, but not too far.

I thought they were too easy on her as well.

Melissa was awful during the contest and was the right person to go - though she did have cringeworthy entertainment value - but on "You're fired" she seemed much nicer and funny with it. I quite warmed to her, especially her giggle.
