I felt this from the start, tonight made me even more certain.

I cant see anyone getting near her

It's a bit soon to say that, we haven't seen her manage a team yet. She seems good at sales and pitching but we haven't seen that much of her yet.

It will be one of the candidates who is not heavily featured during the early stages. Or even one who has made some sort of cock-up who we think should be fired. It always is. Which candidate is not discussed on here much, if at all? It'll be that person

There's always about six genuine business savvy candidates each series. Question is can they stand the pressure and not forget any of the basics. This year they look to be Liz, Stella, Joanna, Jamie, and possibly Alex and Chris (who both visibly get better). Christoper is impressive but I think it's just common sense he's got. Paloma is more mouth than brain, while Stuart is way too inexperienced in dealing with and reading people.

By Scattyblonde's reasoning that would be Chris Bates perhaps?

I love Liz.

She's competent but doesn't come across as trying too hard. She's just natural.

By contrast, I felt like Jamie was over-egging the negotiations with cliches such as 'music to our ears'. He reminds me a bit of a second hand car salesmen.

Liz reminds me a bit too much of Yasmina, though I like them both (businesswise and for their big....eyes ), so I think that if a woman will make the final it will probably be Stella.

My favourite girl from another Apprentice year got fired the week after being singled out by Lord Sugar (or perhaps Nick), so anything can happen next week.

That said, I do hope they have a task this year selling swimgear (Liz has already been in a bikini twice this series)

So far I find Liz more likeable than Yasmina (who struck me as a quite duplicitous).

I don't really rate Stella. I've not seen her do much of significance in terms of selling, pitching or negotiating. She just made a couple of decisions as a PM and modeled a swimsuit!

The only thing that Yasmina ever did, why people saw her like that, was talking in some VT that she would screw anyone over to get what she wants.

Ironically, this VT (shown on You´re Fired) was related to the Sandalwood fiasco for which Paula was fired. The same Paula who was best mates with Yasmina (and perhaps still is), evident from her loud cheering when she came into the studio during You´re Hired (same story with Mona, though you never saw those friendships on the show).

It was more clever editing (especially that VT and the You´re Hired show being all about Kate) then Yasmina being duplicitous.

It was more an overall impression I had of Yasmina as being quite hard. I just couldn't warm to her.

Liz or Stella that's who it's going to be!

I sort of agree with you, and I liked her a lot. Had a strong feeling she did manipulate some of the competition, in particular Lorraine to put Phil, Kate & Ben together; wind up Debra at every opportunity; as well a general feeing quite a few were a bit scared of her (James, Howard, Ben). Didn't stiff Paula at all btw. Wouldn't say hard though. Determined to win and very self confident. Same could be said of Debra, though she struck me as someone who just says what she thinks. Kate is the one I felt was the hardest though. Yasmina deserved to win by results and savvy IMHO.

If Yasmina is a guide to what Sugar looks for, then I think Stella, Joanna or Jamie are the closest so far. But then one year he picked Simon Ambrose, so it's not much of a guide

Tim was the first team leader in series one and hardly stayed under the radar. Lee was very visible in series four. Yasmina was an early team leader in series five and featured in the board room after the sandalwood clanger in the first few weeks. It doesn't necessarily follow.

The really gobby ones have never been chosen though.

I dunno. She's great at pitching but that doesn't seem a massive priority for Sugar. He hired Lee who was bladdy awful at it over Claire and Yasmina over Kate (not that Yasmina was bad by any stretch but Kate did it for a living and other than that pitch in week 2 it showed).

Difference between the three of them was that Debra was younger and hadn't learnt diplomacy and Kate was prettier so her toughness looked tougher. They'd all have shoved their granny to the front of their market stall for a last minute sale if it would've made the slightest difference between winning and losing a task. Kate would probably have got the sale though.

Rarer than hen's teeth is common sense!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd hire him for that reason ALONE!

Liz was amazing last night, I know some of it is luck with how many they order but great pitching what we saw of her. She must be the most beautiful candidate ever too on the show, And amazingly, well it hasn't shown it if she is but doesn't appear to be bitchy or cocky in anyway. perfect apprentice, anyone would want her working for them.

You must have been watching another show then most of us, as none of this was onscreen

Do you have access to backstage footage?

LOL! at her best friend James being afraid of her

Stella looks much more like Kristina then Yasmina

And Joanna is a carbon copy of Debra, not Yasmina (she was never gobby in the boardroom). Jamie is a better example.

Liz is very good, my one reservation is she's slightly reminding me of the fabulous Miriam from Series 1. A practically faultless performance, but still sacked over a loud mouthed idiot (although, to be fair, LS did admit his mistake later)

Far too soon to tell. As far as I can see she did a good presentation on a product that mainly sold itself and she got a big credit for that.

She stays under the radar, behaves in a modest and graceful way. Not a hair out of place. I'm not sure at all she won't crack under pressure.

I think she'll be in it for a long time - even though she's flying under the radar, she is still having more close ups than any other contestant.

I'm not so sure. So far she has been a bit lucky. She's good at numbers and her looks help her as well.

So her being good at numbers helped in the first task, her looks help her sell when selling direct, but in yesterdays task, she had the benefit of having a product that people will not want to argue against much because it was about a baby's safety.

I don't think we've seen her tested yet in her weak spots and will her being good at selling and at numbers be enough for AS?

As I've posted before, I don't think Liz is flying under the radar. There is a difference between keeping a low profile in the tasks & boardroom and not being on the edited highlights.
If Liz truely were radar flying the other candidates would surely bring this up as a way of deflecting criticism from themselves. This hasn't happened so my conclusion is the editors are saving Liz's airtime for later in the series. This happened before with Tim, Michelle, Lee and, to a lesser extent, Simon.
We see fairly little of Christopher either - my bet is for a Liz/Christopher final with possibly one or two others in as make weights.

I am not so sure. That babygrow sold itself, anybody (apart from Melissa) pitching that would have sold a huge number.

She did nothing outstanding. She will make it to the final four.

I'd say the the final will probably be between Liz and Stella.
