Is Robbie the last huge solo male artist in the UK

Will there ever be another British male solo artist who can fill stadiums? (Or female, for that matter)

A few american artists can do it, but other than Robbie - nobody

Yeah, but he's getting on in years, I'm thinking about the future, are these icons a thing of the past? I think the whole music scene is changing and getting more diverse, outside of the pop/x factor teeny mass scene anyway. Even the guy who won X factor last year, who got millions of votes, is making a rather small wave now he's releasing music.

Yes, another will be just around the corner. But it needs to be someone who can appeal to both men and women like robbie did. If they go down the route of cheesy ballads and pop songs they will not get many male followers.

in reality there never has been loads of 'big' charismatic artists here... they come along once a blue moon, so yes....of course there will be another big artists one day.
