Why Cole and not Tweedy?
How long is everybody going to refer to Cheryl as "Cole" instead of "Tweedy" or are the XF people afraid that the GBP won't know who she is when she's called Tweedy again?

Alliteration is catchier.
Also because to people not in England, she'll always be known as Cole. |

Besides, I think professional women should always hold onto their maiden name - gets too complicated the number of divorces many have.

I remember it being put about that she couldnt wait to get rid of the name cole. I read it quite recently i think.
Maybe Tweedy reminds to many people of Biffa. You know the girl before the sainthood. |

So if she re-marries? Not a good move to hold onto her ex's handle is it?

I'd assume that it's because her first solo album was released under the name Cole.

Cole is much more saleable - especially if she tries to make waves overseas.

Many divorced women choose to keep their ex husbands name. Why should Cheryl be any different?

It's very normal to keep your married named except for if u remarry, why should Cheryl be different, just because she's famous or what??? My mum kept her married name so we would have the same surname, cheryl's keeping her's cause that's how she is know in her carreer. I live in Denmark and 90 % of the population would have no clue who Cheryl Tweedy is!

Tweedy sounds like the kind of sir name that would get you picked on at school.
