So how would it get moved to the Music Forum or do you create a new one?
I just done a search in the music forum and there is already an appreciation thread there. But this has more posts so if we could merge this thread with the one in the music forum it would be better.

I think you alert last comment in this thread and write in the reason box - to merge in music forum with other thread.

I think you should PM one of the mods and request it be moved, because Cheryl is a recording artist and no longer part of the X Factor. If you start a new one they will just end up having to merge the two anyway because they don't allow duplicate threads.

I was in California and other parts of the USA this summer and Cheryl has a higher profile over there than I expected. Not sky high or anything and a lot of course to do with the USA X Factor fiasco. But that wasn't publicised in the States the way it was in the UK and I don't think there's much sentiment about her having "failed." If she puts out a good record and it gets picked up in the States people will judge her on her own merits as a recording artist and performer, would be my guess.

In the long run that would be better for her because she won't be seen as having been "made" by Simon Cowell. It's funny how differently he is perceived in the US compared to here. Definitely not as a major force in show business. I think the attention span of the public may be shorter over there. Everyone here has an opinion about Simon. Over there he's the sarcastic guy from AI. He left the show and the show went on. There's not much more said about him.

I don't think that the USA XF will necessarily be a huge success just because Simon is in charge and Paula is back too. People may decide it's the same old same old and would prefer fresher faces. That was one of the plusses of having Cheryl on the original panel. It will be interesting to see if people warm to Nicole.

I wonder what her plans are. As it would be smart to get a single out while X Factor is on and her profile will be at its highest, and she may get to go on chat shows.

I agree, alot of people didnt think Simon would have Paula on the show as it is just more comparisons with American Idol. And I dont think that was the original plan, but with the success of The Voice and Amercan Idol it worried him and he thought having Paula was the safe option.

I just requested it to be moved...
Aw good, lets hope more people will start using this as I think you were right that most people forgot it existed.

What is it about Cheryl that riles everybody on here up?. The insults and negativity around her are quite frankly weird. Sadly Granted08 has reemerged.

On Popjustice they're suggesting she'll release an album sometime in 2012 with a Girls Aloud new album in the fall of that year.

I've always felt that a big part of it for some of the worst serial offenders is class snobbery. They post the same phrases over and over again, "jumped up chav," "above her station," etc etc. It's really vile. I think any decent person would grant that Cheryl has done well to overcome the disadvantages of her background, whether they like her as an entertainer or not.

Then there are the obsessed nut-jobs. Too bad one of the latest crop has re-emerged.

Jealousy of Cheryl's success by other women of her generation is a common explanation that many on DS take issue with. I reckon it's a major factor though.

I dont understand their dislike of her either, I dont get what she has done for some to have such a strong hatred towards her.

Most people dont bother me when they post comments about Cheryl but Granted08 is the one who irritates me most as he is just out to wind people up, I tend to ignore most of his comments now though.

I read that on Popjustice too, and I am glad she is taking some time to record this album and to get time away from the spotlight (I think alot of people were put off her because she became extremely overexposed, not her fault though).

I am not bothered about Girls Aloud reunion to be honest, but it is good she is still going back and isnt going to leave them.

Apparently Will I Am has got David Guetta on board to work with Cheryl. I really think this is going to be her best album.

Also glad to see that they are not going to be releasing anything until they are really happy with it.

It is annoying. Perhaps we are doing it wrong but I cant find anywhere on the site with proper instructions on how to do it.

No, I can't see the 6th page, where is it? Have the messages been deleted? I'll post the information again.

She's in Atlanta today:

""@tycediorio: On set ..early o'clock. Workin with "taboo" (blk eyed peas) and Cheryl Cole today. In the film as well as choreographing )))""

http://twitter.com/tycediorio/status/108149535108366336

Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat) is also with them.
