Ranking according to youtube likes/dislikes.
I got these scores by dividing the number of "likes" by the number of "dislikes" on each performance last Saturday.
The results are as follows: 1 - Matt - 4578 likes/ 126 dislikes = 36.3. 2 - Rebecca - 1542 likes/ 96 dislikes = 16.1. 3 - Paije - 949 likes/ 93 dislikes = 10.2. 4 - Mary - 896 likes/ 95 dislikes = 9.4 5 - One Direction - 1727 likes/ 299 dislikes = 5.8. 6 - Aiden - 1322 likes/ 304 dislikes = 4.3 7 - Katie - 1400 likes/ 483 dislikes = 2.9 8 - John - 410 likes/ 187 dislikes = 2.2 9 - Belle Amie - 548 likes/ 268 dislikes = 2.0 10 - Treyc - 463 likes/ 296 dislikes = 1.7 11 - Cher - 2673 likes/ 1705 dislikes = 1.2 12 - Wagner - 402 likes/ 628 dislikes = 0.6 |

Interesting that Cher is so low and Katie is quite a bit higher.
Wonder if that will change if she pulls off a ballad on Saturday? Doesnt bode well for Wagner. If it means anything, which it probably doesnt.

Eh? Why divide? Likes minus dislikes, surely? (And I'm a statistician.)

dislikes has really nothing to do with it because people can't give negative votes, so i think this order gives a more accurate picture
1 - Matt - 4578 likes 2 - Cher - 2673 likes 3 - One Direction - 1727 likes 4 - Rebecca - 1542 likes 5 - Katie - 1400 likes 6 - Aiden - 1322 likes 7 - Paije - 949 likes 8 - Mary - 896 likes 9 - Belle Amie - 548 likes 10 - Treyc - 463 likes 11 - John - 410 likes 12 - Wagner - 402 likes |

So, Treyc, Belle Amie, and Wagner never escape the bottom 4 whichever way you do it.
How about the view? |

I think it's more reliable using the subtraction methods as it takes into account that some acts (like Cher) have a big fanbase but also a lot of people that don't like her. I know that it's positive voting only but it's important to take negative views into account too as it can give bad press and affect voting

Interestingly that Beiber song that's the most played on youtube would score a 1.6 by the first method on this thread.

That's right, and teenage girls never vote do they...
There are people on the night who vote for the best acts and there are fans for, (example: Mary) outside of Youtube. |

If anyone really feels like doing some Maths, they can do this:
(total number of likes/(total number of likes+total number of dislikes)) x view count. That way we get an more accurate representation of how much the viewcount can translate into fans voting

I bet the people that say they dislike Wagner vote for him on the night...
