Anyone spot Dragon's Den fella pitching at the beginning?

Was the man who pitched a product to protect a half used cucumber from perishing in the fridge - he was selling the 'no knife face lift'

Take it he never took Peter Jones up on his job offer!

I almost thought I was watching Dragon's Den for a minute.

But, did no-one question whether any of these products actually work? Or how?

How exactly did that shower-head save £250 a year? (My own shower uses unmetered water and uses a fixed amount of electricity. The only way to save would be to have it on lo-power, which I can already do (if I want a trickle), or have shorter showers)

What about the baby-glow thing? Using a hairdryer on the 'baby' is hardly scientific.

How does the jumpsuit accurately monitor the body temperature of the child, from loose coupling with the skin which is going to be at a slightly lower temperature? Support there are undergarments, or it's just loose?

I'd like to see the apprentices have to pitch on Dragons Den (the dragons mustn't know they're from the apprentice). Winning team gets the most dosh from the dragons.

I believe that energy saving shower heads work by providing a higher pressure flow which spreads out well and are supposed to create a feeling/illusion of "a shower" with a smaller amount of water actually flowing. So that when people turn the shower on, they, on average, choose a lower water flow When I've used similar things, I found that anything more than a small amount of water creates fine high pressure jets on my head, which are uncomfortable.

In other words, the shower heads work more on the psychology of the person taking the shower, rather than the basic physics of heated water.

Whether the product pitched actually works that way, or actually works, I don't know.

I'd like to Lordalan appear as a guest Dragon. Think of the chaos he would cause, terrifying inventors.

I created a thread about it a week or so before the episode was shown:

Worthing? I seem to have made up a new word.

I guess a full explanation is given but cut out of the final edit of the show. It could get a bit boring if each product is explained in great detail. Some of these tasks last about 14 hours and all that footage has to be cut down to fit an hour long episode.

Maybe that dragon's den guy did take up the job from Peter, but he's still inventing in his spare time? I doubt Peter would make him work 60 hour weeks or whatever it was he said he was doing before, so if he had time for his inventions then he probably has more time for them now!
