l'm out of the TV Magazine loop it would seem. l didn't know Radio Times had been redesigned, and l've never heard of Total TV Guide.

Just 7 days to go !

As confirmed in the Radio Times countdown thread, RT are sticking with their Daytime Panel for their Christmas Issue, so if you are not a fan of the panel look out for Total TV Guide this Christmas.

I have been buying TTVG for a while now and think they do a good job (including a page-a-day of radio listings).

There are less articles than in Radio Times and less 'Choices', but that doesn't really bother me as I buy TV listing magazines for comprehensive and clearly laid out listings (which Radio Times used to have), not articles or opiniated columnists.

They say Christmas isn't Christmas without Radio Times, but is that really true? I will find out soon enough.

My will power is strong! I thought I would be weakening but I don't seem to be!
Ive gotten used to Total TV Guide now and I haven't missed RT one little bit.
So I think I will be able to maintain strength of mind and not buy the Christmas RT for the first time in 30 odd years.

Shame my willpower isn't strong for resisting Galaxy chocolate.

And now I am used to getting a Total TV Guide on Tuesday and blizzards are forecast tomorrow - what if I can't get into town to buy a copy tomorrow????

Just been to get my paper at local Tesco Express and they are still selling mags for 27 Nov-3 Dec, with the issues due out last saturday nowhere to be seen. There is so much inconsistency with retailers its unbelievable.

The snow has wreaked havoc here since Saturday.
Would need huskies to get to my nearest shop yesterday and today.
So I haven't even looked. Maybe tomorrow.

Will it be a Doctor Who festive cover for our new favourite listings magazine? The "Next Week" panel at the back suggests it could be! I am hoping for a traditional cover cover though!

It finally stopped snowing here this morning.
Trudged to the local shop - the snow was higher than the top of my wellies,
No Total TV guide on the shelf!

I had to get this week's Radio Times because that's all they had, and they only have a TV Times for next week.

RT still annoys me, but the TV Times is really horrid!

However in view of the awful snow I'm just grateful to have got any tv guide at all.

Not that impressed with Radio Times cover this year:

http://www.radiotimes.com/content/magazine/

It does include a W&G badge offer, Outnumbered DVD, Exclusive Ghost Story and the ever popular RT Picture Quiz, but I'm still planning to buy Total TV Guide this Christmas O think.

As usual, I'll be getting both! The RT for my collection and the Total TV Guide to actually use!

I notice on the cover of the Christmas Radio Times (from the picture on their website) that a Free 'Outnumbered' DVD is with that issue.....I was going to ask if it is in the Radio Times or Send away for it.....but in small print I can just make out 'you pick it up from Currys or PC World!!!!
Strange.....thought it would be like the usual collect from 'WHSmiths or Tesco' like the Daily Mail does.

I couldn't find one.

Only TV Times.

And in M&S Radio Times, suprisingly.

In previous years Total TV Guide is usually the first I see in the shops.

Claires Dad, How many pages is the Total TV Guide Film Section? It says it is the biggest.

17 pages in total for film guide, 196 pages in all.

Edit.....and it's only £1.99!

Any chance you will be able to take a shot of the page decorations for the Christmas TV listings? I know I'm a sad little cretin but I am interested to see what they are doing this year. Only TV Times available where I am. Yuk!!! Do they (TV Times) use the same picture for the cover every bleedin' year!?

There isn't really a lot of decorations on the pages, it's just the normal daily coloured border down the side but the "Christmas" days have got stars in them and that's it!

The TV Times, in my opinion, is dreadful and has been for some years.

You get what you pay for the TV Times. I will probably buy that or Whats on TV, whichever is cheaper probably.

Nice How did you manage to get one, I thought it wasn't on sale until 7th? Hubby went out this morning and got the 11th-17th Dec issue but they didn't have the Christmas one. It's got free stickers so you can mark your favourite programmes!

I just happened to be walking past Londis and went in just to see if they had any Christmas TV mags yet, and Total TV Guide was the only one on display!

Stickers are actually a very good idea, would save on having to get the highlighters out instead.

Does anyone subscribe to Total TV Guide?
If so, what day does it usually arrive?
