Matt
I am biased but I think that he can make something of anything so I think it would need to be something with racist overtones to really disadvantage him but I'll suggest Shutupayourface

Aiden
Happiness (Ken Dodd for the youngsters benifit)

Mary
Happy Birthday (altered Images)

Idirection
WMCA

Belle Amie
Pretty Vacant

Rebecca
Can the Can

Treyc
I Believe

Cher
I am a Woman in Love

Katie
Je Regrette Rein

Wagner
Starry Starry Night

Paige
Build Me up Buttercup (been done before to devastating effect )

I think Mr Bojangles is usually a sure fire sign that Simon has had enough of someone.

Even ALW has nicked the idea & has used it on his casting shows too.

I have to say I struggle with that idea but if she could pull that off, she could win me round

Mr Bojangles. It was like a curse song in Over the Rainbow.

It's been a curse song in all these shows. Still I'd like to hear Rebecca sing Nina Simone's version - on an album not the show.

I think this could be quite successful, give Niall the lead and allow him to be his over excited self and they'd win

I think since Remembrance Sunday is coming up shortly, the entire lot could be done in by an appropriate theme for that special night:

cut to VT:

X millions of singles sold
X millions of albums sold
X tours of Asia, USA, Australia and New Zealand
UK's first ever No 1 single
UK's longest ever No 1 singing career
UK's oldest ever artiste ever to reach No 1
UK's most successful ever female singing artiste

cut back to to Dermot: Tonight's theme, yes it can only be our tribute to ...
... Dame Vera Lynn!

I'd give them all Japanese/Korean pop songs. Wouldn't be too hard.

I like the idea of having a Remembrance Sunday Theme just imagine:

Matt - War (Edwin Starr)
Mary - Sunday Bloody Sunday (U2 - That would certainly answer the critics singing this)
Rebecca - There'll Always Be An England (Vera Lynn)
Katie - Two Minute Silence (would be an improvement on all her performances to date IMHO)
Cher - Mosh (Eminem, and watch Cheryl & Simon pass off her rap of the Eminem anti-war song as original and relevant)
Aiden - One (Metallica - step back on watch the intensity flow through the TV screens)
Wagner - Springtime for Hitler (Mel Brooks)
TreyC - We'll Meet Again (Vera Lynn)
Paije - Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye (Gracie Fields)
One Direction - Give Peace A Chance (John Lennon)
Belle Amie - Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy (Andrew Sisters, Bette Midler)

Just give anyone "Mr Bojangles" always works!

This has been shown to be true many a time on many a reality TV show.

SO "Bojangles" TRUMPS all others as the song to get rid of someone.

I win. Thread closed.
