Noel's House Party has been named the greatest Saturday night TV show ever, with X Factor in 2nd place.

Oh, come on! I thought we'd moved on from gunge and Mr Blobby - X Factor is easily better and must annoy Simon Cowell to lose to Noel Edmonds, that annoying fella of Deal or No Deal.

3rd place is Harry Hill while Doctor Who and The Two Ronnies were also up there.

Strictly was way down the list though

Full List

What's your fave? I'll have to admit I quite enjoyed watching Casualty with my parents when I was younger!!

Are you asking what's our favourite on the forum dedicated to X Factor fans?

Ahhh, those were the days!!
When your average punter would turn up at the studio, put a bit of lippy on and a haircomb and 20 minutes later would be out on stage in front of a live studio audience, warbling away (very tunefully) to 10 million viewers. The audience who voted decided the winner, no panel of over hyped, talentless judges required........following day back to the job in the Bakers!

Now they all need to live in one big house, have a voice coach, a choreographer, a makeover, a gimmick and autotune...........is that progress?

Stars in Their Eyes was good when Matthew Kelly presented it, but when Cat Deeley took over she ruined it.

I can't argue with Noel's House Party winning. But why the hell is Baywatch in the top ten?!

For a couple of reasons.
Owned by Pamela Anderson.

It's a shame Noel never bought back house party. It was a Saturday night must watch. I really like his gotchas. I bet he could have stitched up so many others.

At the moment, for me it's Merlin, closely followed by Doctor Who. When I was a kid I used to love Seaside Special and I always wanted to be one of the dancers on it when I got older, lol.
I'm not sure if it was a Saturday night it was on, but my main love was The Six Million Dollar Man.

Possibly the nadir of Saturday night ITV before they discovered three generation television programming with X Factor, Britain's Got Talent and Harry Hill.

For me it's got to be the old Bruce's Generation Game back in the '70s or Dr. Who. Both unbeatable Saturday night TV. Showing my age now though...

I'm surprised Game for A Laugh isn't there. It had quite a large fanbase and spawned Beadle's About.
