Monday 11nd November Overnights (inc. HD)
17:30- Neighbours: 1.5m (8.9%)
18:00- Home and Away: 1.0m (4.8%)
18:30- Hollyoaks: 1.4m (5.8%) inc. +1

19:00- Emmerdale: 8.1m (35.5%)
19:30- Coronation Street: 9.8m (40.4%)
20:00- EastEnders: 9.8m (37.9%)
20:30- Coronation Street: 9.6m (36.7%)
-------------------------------
Very close between EE and Corrie - basically nothing in it. As expected, both back over 9m (nearly 10m) after their couple of low ratings last week due to scheduling factors,

Ohhh EE started a few minutes early last night and is neck and neck with Corrie. Had it started on or just after 8pm it probably would have got more with its average! great for EE yet again.

Great ratings again for the soaps.

EastEnders and Coronation Street Neck and Neck once again.

Fantastic rating for Emmerdale, well deserved from what I've been hearing lately, haven't managed to catch it in months. P.S. Wrong date...should be 22nd November.

Corrie and EE are down on last Monday, whereas Emmerdale is up. Well deserved IMO...it was an excellent episode last night! Corrie was abit dull and considering how close we are now to the 50th Anniversary episodes this is a worry even though it held up remarkably well.

Last night

EastEnders - 9.21m

Emmerdale - 7.02m

Emmerdale really low!

Worth mentioninig that Emmerdale rating does not include HD. With HD, it'll be at about 7.3-7.4m.

Good rating for EastEnders.

Haven't done this in a month or so...

2010 Official Averages
Coronation Street: 9.45m (inc. HD)
EastEnders: 9.29m
Emmerdale: 7.26m (exc. HD)

In terms of year-on-year rise from the average at the same point last year, it is:

EastEnders: +11%
Emmerdale: +9% (+HD)
Coronation Street: +3%

Note: One week's worth of ratings (week ending 10th October) are missing from Corrie's average as no HD update was done on BARB that week. I'll include those figures once BARB has updated.
---------------------------
Corrie is ahead of 'Enders in the overall 2010 averages by 160k. With Corrie's 50th Anniversary coming up and EE's low ratings recently due to the Emmerdale clashes, it is very likely that Coronation Street will end up as the No. 1 Soap of 2010 by overall average. EastEnders has done well to close the gap, maybe next year will be their year. Emmerdale's rise has been brilliant - with HD included the rise is probably 10-11% which is very similar to 'Enders' rise.

Official ratings for Jack's Death (courtesy of BARB):

Monday 8th November 2010:

19.30- 11.89m
20.30- 12.54m
*inc. HD
--------------------------------------------------------
Both episodes have timeshifted very well. The overnights were 10.8m and 11.0m. The second episode timeshifted by over 1.5m, and it's currently Corrie's most watched episode of the year so far overtaking an episode broadcast on Monday 22nd February, at 20.30, which averaged 12.03m (this was for Joe's death). Expect the Corrie Live episode to smash the 12.54m for Jack's Death, but the question is, how well will the episode do?

Well done Corrie, 2010 has been a better year for them ratings-wise than 2009, up 3% and the most watched 2009 Corrie ep from Feb 2009 (Snow Week) only got 11.46m so congrats!!! 12.54m is a fantastic rating Both eps timeshifted really well. The upcoming tram crash should easily match that 12.54m

Worth noting very good week for EastEnders also that week with 2 eps over 10m and 2 just under -

EASTENDERS (MON 1959) 10.46
EASTENDERS (THU 1928) 10.02
EASTENDERS (FRI 1959) 9.95
EASTENDERS (TUE 1929) 9.80

Just thought i mention this before we get a 'EastEnders rating is low or Corrie and Emmerdale got a boost post'

EastEnders will be lower due to it being dented by Emmerdale and Im a Celeb during it's hour-long clash

Emmerdale and corrie should see a boost with the bad snow they have up north and also corrie should get a good rating at 9:00pm

So yeah EastEnders will get around 5/6million so it's not surprise

EastEnders hit by the clash, shame really as I thought it was a great episode. Strong BBC3 rating though.

Pretty decent for Emmerdale and Corrie though, a Thursday win for the latter.

It was a good epiosde and had a good balance between Comedy,Drama and Community spirit.
I want to see Emmerdale air at the exact time EastEnders does without any kind of head-start and i think we will see Emmerdale around the 5million region.

EastEnders BBC3 repeat rated well.

As i said Corrie at 9:00pm w3as bound to do well with little competition and a IAC lead-in

Dan2008 am I right in saying that you're not exactly a fan of Corrie? You never have anything positive to say about their ratings

To be fair there are a few who never say anything nice or positive about EE's ratings either.

It's just a case of welcome to the ratings thread Once you've become used to this you'll be fine.

I don't watch EastEnders but when they get great ratings I recognise how well they have done because I know they have a loyal fanbase just as Corrie do.

Anyway back to ratings, Neighbours is doin really well at the moment, kicking H&A's arse! It often rates higher than Hollyoaks too.
