Wagner could become a real contender this weekend!
So far he has been given joke songs, but with Bat Out of Hell he's at last been given something that will suit his voice and stage presence. I can see the Wagner Army getting a lot bigger this Saturday

What do you mean this weekend?
He's been a contender since he came jingling down those stairs to the intro of 'She Bangs'. |

They might lower the key a bit, Mr. Loaf hits some high notes in the song. Its also very fast.

You really, seriously, hand on heart believe he's got what it takes to compete with Meatloaf??...because that's who he'll be compared to if he does Bat out of Hell (since it's not exactly a commonly covered track!).

And then there's the small matter of fitting an (almost) 10 minute long track into about 90 seconds.

They managed it with Stairway to Heaven last week even if Trey C did end in the bottom 2

I think it's a very bad choice for him (unless he already knows the lyrics).
He has shown he struggles with English on fast songs....and this is the fastest track he has had so far (one of the fastest any contestant has had). On the plus side it could be a visual feast. ![]() ....but they could stitch him up like a kipper if they wanted to (although Simon is wise enough to know that he's a major asset to the show at present). |

Looking at the song choices I think Wagner got the best one.
Mary's "Could It Be Magic" is hopefully up tempo. That song can sound so miserable when it is sung too slowly. Is Cher's song "Stay" or (Stay with Me) (East 17, Shakespeare's Sister, Girls Aloud?) Either way it will be a different style for Cher. I hope we get to hear her do more singing this week. Looking forward to tonight's show. It sounds like a goodun.

I'm in the Wagner Army and will be voting. Love meatloaf and am sure it will be a disaster, but gonna vote anyway.

Bat out of Hell could be hard for Wagner but O Fortuna (if true) could be amazing.
How will Wagner cope with Latin?
