Have you ever texted a premium text service or number? Ringtone suppliers might pass on your number to 'affiliated companies' for instance...

im sick fed up with these spam texts also, is there no way for them to be blocked? or tracing the company and contacting them and telling them of the legal situation (i.e. they do not have our persmission to do this)???

you will generally find that the most of the spam txt is like spam email.... you dont pay for it.... but its like when YOU(the user) request to be sent stuff like horroscopes and sports results, (ok, i will admit it isnt all stuff like that) but people subscribe and dont know how to stop the messages.... and they get loads and get the charges of about between 60p and 1.50 per text...i stay well clear of texting anything i might gets spam txt from..... i dont even vote for big brother......

i have never signed up for sports results or anything, would NEVER vote for Big Brother, and i dont put my mobile number on any application forms. so how do they get my number, the only thing I can think of is my service provider, T-Mobile.

Surely if they are going to be sending my details to other companies, they should ask me first.
