LOL! I wonder if Cheryl and Dannii will give him the usual standing ovation or will they sit there stony faced and with their arms folded? It's actually a bit of a dilemma for them.

what point? he's not there to be judged since he's not in the competition. If he doesn't want to wh%re himself don't go into the X Factor, except he knows it's the best publicity for his album

Lead singer of Jamiroquai.

Jay Kay was never known for being much of a gentleman. If that's his opinion on the judges, fair enough, but who exactly is forcing him to appear on the X-Factor and get paid for it? Whiney old git, making misogynistic comments for the sake of seeking attention. I note he doesn't bitch about Simon or Louis.

He had a couple of decent albums out in the early /mid 1990s which I really liked; they were fresh, funky, and different. Since then...

I recall that back then he was nicknamed 'The T*at In the Hat' and I've just remembered why. Miserable bugger. Towards the end of the '90s he was best known for sleeping with Denise Van Outen anyway rather than remaining an icon on account of his former musical legacy. *snort*

Mind you, as he was clearly attention seeking, I guess that this sort of rant is exactly what he was after... anything to get people talking about his once brilliant band.

Hey, if an artist see's a chance to get some great promotion, they'll take it.

Even if they can't stand it.

LMAO! They are a jazz-funk band. Lead singer was well known for wearing a ridiculous hat. They had a couple of good (IMO) albums out when I was in my teens. One was called Return of The Space Cowboy. I think I was 16 when that came out, so if you're much younger than me, you might not have heard of them. They were pretty good back in the day, though... until the lead singer became better known for sh*gging Denise Van Outen and doing little else. They had a single out in the late 90s called Cosmic Girl. After that, they faded. Jay Kay was always a sad git though, hat or no hat.

JK has a point, the show is trailer trash and obviously he feels underwhelmed by being there.

He is obviously there to promote a new record so is making the best of being there

There is no doubt that his comments are justified as he knows his shit.

If he felt so underwhelmed, perhaps he should have retained what little remains of his artistic integrity and not wh*red himself out to X-Factor for a massive fee. Hmmm. That would have expressed his "point" far better.

He knows the music industry, but he was still spouting misogynistic tripe. He has a go at both the females, but says nowt about Simon or Louis. As if Tweedy/Cole or Minogue Junior are any more responsible for the crap that now passes for the charts! If anything, less so. He behaved like an idiot when ranting. Unless, of course, he whinged at the female judges because it was likely to get more of a reaction... in which case, he's got me hook line and sinker! Except that I won't buy his album, as musically, he lost the plot many years ago.

He'll always be The T*at in the Hat to me.

He sounds like an angry man. Fuming that he needs the XFactor to showcase (or remind people) that he has any sort of talent.

Doesn't bode well when you have to use so many expletives to express yourself. Something is hugely lacking in the character.

I understand how someone like him couldn't be a judge on XF. He would especially judge the females very unfairly.

Hope he is never on jury service on a rape case. The poor female victim wouldn't stand a chance.

Sure he will deliver on the day but as you say he is a bit ott for some

He is class and has worked into the industry the proper way by giging from an early age unlike the instant fame xf gives. To me this gives him the right to say what he likes as the show is a mockerey of the music industry.

There is a lot more talent out there its just not showcased on the xfactor, and its probably a LOT better.

LOL! Dunno about anyone else, but I can cope with blokes with big gobs and bigger egos. I'm a Scouser who has lived in the States, and have been married to an Australian for nearly a decade, so am quite used to that sort of thing on a daily basis.

Depends on your definition of 'class', dear! The fool says ''I have no repect for your opinion but would still sh*g you''? Yeah, classy. He's honest, perhaps. Classy, definitely not.

I agree - he worked his way up, with a very "different" syle of music compared to what was reigning in the charts back in the early 90s.

Maybe. Any need for him to have a go at the female judges, as opposed to Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh, who were responsible for FAR more atrocities in music than the people he was disrespectful towards? There's no excuse for stupid, pointless misogyny.

As a songwriter, a guitarist, and a human being, I can't fault you on that point mate.

He shagged Kylie many moons ago (bit random I know), but surprised that he dissed her sister. Maybe not though, as he's a total dickhe@d (met the little shit twice, and really thinks he's something special).
