Had the Boys catagory retained a 25 year old ceiling...
could you imagine what Louis would have done with Matt in the over 25s?

![]() On the other hand, we'd have had a very strong over 25s category, along with very strong boys and girls. I think it would have made the contest more exciting. Simon only made the change to weaken the overs and strengthen the younger categories. |

The changing of the age range was suspicious to me the minute it happened as it basically really weakened the overs category.
I suspect the decision might have been based on the fact that they saw Matt as a potential winner and believed that he would fair better if he was perceived to be a young winner. An over hasn't won since series 1 and young males have won 3 out of 6 series. |
