Songs you hated when younger
I just could not stand the song Loser by Beck... I now love it....
Have you any similar experiences? |

^ That's a great song, but I don't remember it's release.
Umbrella by Rihanna. Hated it when I first heard it but it grew on me. |

More Than A Woman by Aaliyah. Hated it every time it came on one of the music channels, I practically groaned. But now I think it's an amazing pop song and will never get old. Weird.

'It's A Sin' by The Pet Shop Boys. In fact, most of their stuff. Now, I realise just how good they were.

2 songs I hated when they first came out.
Although I love them to bits now. Black Box ~ Ride On Time. Dee-Lite ~ Groove Is In The Heart. |

Poker Face by Lady GaGa. It was played constantly!! I got the album but it is the least played track of hers on my itunes. Not bad, but not her best

The only one I can think of is Somebody Told Me by the Killers. I remember seeing it on the musical channels and thinking it was awful, now I think it's fantastic and like quite a lot of their music! Quote:

I'm very old and Marrianne Faithful singing As Tears Go By used to really scare me. Still does a bit.

Supermassive Black Hole by Muse. Didn't like it when it was released, heard it recently & loved it.

i wasn't a fan of Girls Aloud AT ALL (still not really!) but i used to hate both Biology and Something Kinda Oooh! but of recent months i think they're the finest songs the band has EVER done alongside Call The Shots. and dare i say it but 2 of the finest pop offerings of the last decade!!!

Steal My Sunshine by Len. Used to annoy the hell out of me when it was being played loads on the radio when I was going to and from school, but now I totally love it and enjoy hearing it whenever it comes on (mostly on Radio 1's Wonder Years and by request)

I guess I have mellowed or my taste is lacking these days but as a young lad, I couldn't stand Take That or East 17. However, I now have "Pray" and "Deep" on my mp3 player respectively.

Girls Aloud's music. Didn't like them when they were first out. Don't mind some of it now.

I wasn't really too keen on Marina and the Diamonds' music when she released Hollywood but now I'm a fan and love her stuff. Can't really think of any others.

Never got the hype about the Arctic Monkeys when they first came out especially the love around I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor. After listening to it a lot, it grew on me, and I think it's a brilliant song and one of the few songs I'll never get sick off.

Jump Around by House of Pain. It was played on the radio one morning just as I was waking up. It was just a noise! Had to turn it off.
Now though, it's an absolute tune

Paradise by the Dashboard Lights, because it kicked 10CC's Dreadlock Holliday from it's number 1 position in the Dutch charts.

Ashamed to admit I hated 'Fairytale of New York' in 1987 and was so pleased Pet Shop Boys got the Xmas no.1 !!!!! I've now seen the light and see it as the best Xmas song of all time (with Kate Bush a close second!!!)
