Cher's performance tonight..
Anybody else actually looking forward to it..?
Tonight is the night when we find out whether she is a one trick pony or not. I sort of have a feeling that they may have sneakily fitted a rap into it. I reaaaaally hope not! I think that her performance tonight will either be very good or a total fail. What do you all think? |

If she can top Cradle of Filths cover then I might even vote for her.
Actually no I wont. She's going to rap the "You better hope and pray" bit and I will pan my tellybox in. |

Its make or break for her tonight. She could either sing the song really well and gain more fans and turn some haters around or she could gain more haters by singing the song badly and could go home.

This is it for Cher tonight and for us to find out if she is a credible artist or is she gonna crash and burn?
I personally think that she has already crashed a few times but I am willing to give her one last chance but I don't like the song choice or her either so she really has to pull it out of the bag for me to change my mind. |

I am so looking forward to it. Hope she sings it well (I know she will
). It's good to take risks and i'm hoping it'll pay off. Whatever happens, i'm still voting for her

I think it could be tricky if the spolier is correct. I reckon Cher can sing quite nicely but her voice may be a bit too high and squeaky for a, kinda, 'epic' song. Maybe the arrangement will be more simple and sparse. That could work.

I 've got a feeling that if Cher can get the notes right she might have quite a powerful voice - however the hideously out of tune portion of the Annie song she did, unless her nerves got the better of her, would suggest that tuning is an issue for her. Interesting night ahead. |

I'm not so much looking forward to it, as I am interested to see what she manages to do with the song, and if we get her singing "raw" so to speak, with no loud backing track and no gimmick.
I'm also VERY interested to see what happens afterwards on the forum. If Cher pulls it off, as someone who is doubtful about her singing ability, I will admit that I was wrong and say, ok, she has proved herself. Even if she's only good rather than absolutely fantastic.... If she DOESNT pull it off and is pretty rubbish, will her fans then admit that perhaps she isnt perfect and that her singing voice is not great? I wonder...... This benefit of the doubt has to work both ways. So its interesting.

Even if she does do this song badly tonight and without the rapping, she will still get the OTT praise about how wonderful and brilliant she is and of course cruise through to next week
I am bordering on that she will get unstuck tonight but will still be safe this week no matter what |

She will be under a lot of pressure with all the haters/doubters and that unfortunate incident at the Tinie Tempa gig. |

As already posted, she had better not rap Siobhan Fahey's part of the song (by the way, in what way is Stay relevant to Halloween?) |

I'm looking forward to it.
I think this song could suit her voice (though I'm not sure how well she can sing..) and if she pulls it off I may be converted to a Cher fan. At the moment I'm on the fence with her. Hoping there's no rap, but I have a feeling there will be. |

Don't like Cher - she is arrogant, makes funny facial expressions and can't sing - hope she is out soon
