i don't get why he is not liked his paso was just awesome tonight his best dance so far and was way undermarked compared to some of the other dances!

I agree with you, I really enjoyed his paso. Everyone thinks he is arrogant and loves himself but that is just his humour. Coming from the Valleys, I understand that some of what he does and says is in jest, a bit of tongue in cheek. It's a shame that some take him seriously!!

Against all my better judgement and despite myself I like him too .!!

And I am not from the Valleys and I get him .!!

Personality-wise, he's been the big surprise for me this series. I never expected to like him, but his dry humour always makes me laugh. And his abs are amazing!

I agree really loved his paso! I like that he isn't over the top and love his dry sense of humour. I have resigned myself to the fact that alot of people on here are not going to give him a chance.

He is the one person who would have surely benefited from a mask which he could have hidden behind and so not be so self conscious.

i enjoyed it too and not just because of the bare chest. some of his comments are hilarious he;s great!

in my opinion it proves that old saying that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover
people don't get him possibly because of his shyness but he showed buckets of his personality tonight

I like Gavin too,and Craig seems to downmark him deliberately,,,not sure why as he is definitely improving,and I enjoyed his dance tonight better than any of them

I love his sense of humour although a lot of people dont get him,i think he is funny.

If Scott had done that paso he'd have scored 8's at least. It was a good paso. Really pleased that Gavin was able to get past the shyness.

Glad to read a positive thread about Gavin He did really well tonight & showed improvement. Love his sense of humour & his have a go attitude on the dancefloor despite his lack of confidence. At the launch show, I admit I had totally written him off, but he'd won me over after the first show with the Waltz.

I think he is just a shy guy who is quietly spoken.

He seemed to enjoy the dance more this week.

Pleased to see he will be back playing rugby when the series is all over.

why do you love him. He is a poser. He took of his shirt to get vote. However he in fact showed the world a big bag of rolls. I have also been notified by a source that he rubs bird poo in to his skin to keep it nice and soft !!!!!

I think Gavin is adorable but I did think that the paso was just ok. Better than previous weeks, but not brilliant. I think Craig is always going to mark him down because he always looks at it from a performance and dance line point of view.

But I still think he's hilarious, sweet and misunderstood.

Because he's the only one in the history of Strictly that has ever done that!

And if it was one of us women talking about one of the female celebs like that we'd be labelled "jellus hatahs"

Gavin needs more acting lessons to bring him out his shell, its a shame that the judges pick him apart instead of support his efforts.

But he does look good.....sometimes you dont need talk.......lol lol

I like gavin, he gives it his all and looks so crestfallen when the judges give him low marks.

He has improved loads from week one.

I quite 'like' Gavin, or at least I don't dislike him. He seems to come across OK on the VT's and is obviously frustrated that he is used to being good at things but is finding Strictly really tough. However, I don't 'like' his dancing. Tonight was an improvement though.

I find Gavin quite funny Like him a lot more than I thought I would when the celeb names were announced.

He is a sweetie. Just as he's said, never been a player with women ( so far !) and the shyness is, genuine. Far from incapable of hotness though as we saw tonight. He just had to be convinced that showing passion in public, was really necessary. I've overheard a few things ( I live in S Wales) about not,being in public that made my eyes water. I was impressed.
What's worse - being vain or, being a player, who treats all women like muck ? Neither, of course but vanity is the lesser fault I think.

Actually, I've found myself drawn to the lad these past weeks.

However, I wouldn't go so far as to describe is paso as 'awesome'; goodness no. He's so self-conscience, poor love.
