No it wasn't. It was a ridiculus comment and makes a mockery of everyone elses performance. Maybe they should have given her credit for stepping out of her comfort zone, fair enough. And she wasn't the worst performer of the night, but there was nothing special about that performance. It was a very average vocal.

It was more because people didn't actually believe that she can actually sing. So it wasn't the best, no - but it was good.

Cher is my favourite, but it wasn't the best. I think Turn My Swag On was better, for starters.
However, it's good, because Cher has proven she can sing now, so that's one "I hate Cher" excuse out the window. It wasn't even best of the night, in my opinion, but it was certainly good enough, and it seems unfair she gets so much criticism, when she's just not that bad. However, I prefer Cher when she's doing hip hop and rap to be honest, but I think that performance was good, as it's something the public needed to see. |

Wasn't even the best of the ngiht. And it was a poor night overall.
I'm getting sick and tired of these judges and their pre-chosen favourties that they're throwing undeserved praise and hyperbole at just to try and influence us into voting for who they want us to vote for. I have ears and what I eprsonally heard was a squeaky, shaken voice. Yes there were worse than her tonight (and I'm glad she didn't wrap, at least I managed to listen to all of it, which is a first for me with a cher song), but let's not say it was the best of the series- that's an insult to Matt last week and Aiden's Mad World. |

I thought Aiden's Mad World was the best of the series, it was really amazing imo, made me a fan. Cher did something different tonight but I still think several performances this series have been better.

I think that was the right thing to do tonight; she proved that she can sing a whole song without rapping and she certainly wasn't the worst tonight, but to say that it was the best performance of the series was just ridiculous. If I were Rebecca and Treyc I would have the serious hump over that. Utterly ludicrous comment to make. |

Matt's last two performances (Hit me baby/The Way You are) were better. As was Aidens Mad World.
Also, Matt's bootcamp song has been the best so far. |

Fully agreed, aside from the last three words - I actually can't bear Aiden's Mad World rendition after hearing Adam Lambert's version.
I like the roughness of the performance, it's raw, broody and unpolished. Really loved it. |

In my opinion it's the best performance of the live shows so far with her performance last week coming a close second. Katie's performance of Don't Let Me Down is also in my top 10. Neither Treyc nor Rebecca are anywhere close.

I'd go for two performances from Week 1 : Mary singing It's A Man's World and Aiden's performance of Mad World.

I think it was if you are easily pleased, Simon never learns, he over hypes and they can't live up to it, a few weeks ago One Direction were the most exciting band in the country, try telling that to Take That!
I just think he has turned what used to be a really good show into a farce this year. |
