Given that Matthew Cutler is doing the Strictly Christmas Special I suspect that means he isn't doing it as was rumoured.

Well looks like Chloe Madeley is a certain now (unless she's a reserve) and 99.9% sure whos shes partnered with too which makes me very happy just need to hope she's good now and also that she is doing the actual show.

Wow Chloe Madeley famous only for having famous parents. Anyone can be on these shows these days.

She has been roumered since the second series though. I think itv pick the lower profile celebs to make them into big stars

Why though, if they are supposed to be celebs anyway.

It might as well be Fred Bloggs off the street with people like her on it. For all her faults at least Kerry had a career before all the BS.

Well first absolutely confirmed pairing DAN WHISTON AND KERRY KATONA pictures are out of them training
Tiger Rose

Not that surprised in a way they have paired her with Dan. ITV are clearly gonna ram her down our throats with DOI & her new ITV2 show (Is that going to be on the same time as DOI I wonder?) and they will want her in for a while to maximise publicity for the show - they know she'll create headlines. It makes sense to pair her with a popular pro and with all the changes it was either Dan or Matt. Matt had the unpopular partner last year with Heather so I guess Dan was the obvious choice.

And Dan is available for the tour with Hayley unless Kerry gets some support....

Heather was hated last year and got quite far, dont think Kerry would have gone in for this if she wasnt available for the tour.

I think there's more to doing the tour than just being available.
Tiger Rose

Well Kerry will surely be available for the tour as she doesn't really have a career apart from TV cameras following her about. But she will have to last for a while as well though. I guess it can't be totally ruled out and Hayley would just have to skate with someone else as others have done.

They only need to get beyond week 3 to have a chance of doing the tour and given they will want Dan on the tour then hopefully Kerry gets past the 3rd week.

Casting has gone right down hill over the last couple of years. I don't know who is in charge of these decisions, but I don't want to see talentless reality tv "celebs" or WAGs, let alone the children of famous people who haven't done anything on their own of note.

The problem is they seem to be chasing tabloid suitable candidates hoping they will get coverage and be prepared to turn this show into a reality tv drama. The problem is that each time they pick someone down market over a legitimate, if not very high profile, celeb such as Faye, they discourage legitimate stars from wanting to take part in future years as they don't want to be lumped in with them.

On her own, Kerry could be an interesting contestant, because she did have a career at one point and the skating will force her to pull herself together, so the challenge becomes interesting, but only if the vast majority taking part have a body of work behind them.

I wonder who Katie Stainsby is partnered with. According to her FB page she's training in Miami !

To be fair she did only skate 4 weeks so she didn't get that far and she didn't do great in the public vote either plus she probobaly got a few votes for doing the show with a prosthetic (sp?) leg. And Heather nowadays is hated a lot less than Kerry. I really can't see Kerry getting that far based on the public voting her unless she's really high up the judges leaderboard which I can't see happening. Dan will be partnered with Hayley. The worst someone's ever done to make the tour is 7th (Emily and Melinda) we can't really include Todd because he was only there for the "comic" vote. She won't do the tour.

I wonder if Jason will quit the show as he said he would if Kerry done it.

Well the info I was given was that they only need to make week 3 to have a chance of doing the tour so guess we'll just need to wait and see.
Hayley would also need to actually be available and be of a standard to take part given she was the current champ on this years tour she didnt skate that many Bolero's and to be fair she wasnt the same standard as previous winners.

I think Hayley's standard is excellent. She and Ray ought to have skated more Bolero's IMO, but a lot of people seem to like Chris Fountain. Sometimes it's just down to popularity.

Hayley wasnt' as good as Suzanne or Claire - but like you said its down to popularity. Chris and Ray were both superb. Gary was a lovely skater as well.

Anyone heard whether Nicky Byrne is taking part....pure speculation, but he and Matt Evers exchanged tweets and Maria went to Ireland and tweeted to say she had been skating. There is no tweets from him that suggest he is doing DOI but he could be better at Kerry Katona at keeping secrets!

Then again....

I could be barking up the wrong tree completely!

From Maria's tweets she seems to be in Belfast. Westlife are from the South aren't they.

They are promoting a new Album so they seem to be all over the place, to be honest I get Westlife and Boyzone mixed up!

That's down to opinion really though isn't it? Gary's dances bored me to tears and although Claire is generally very good, she did have a fall on the night I saw the tour. Hayley was definitely up there with the best for me!

Like I said above, it's all down to personal opinion but I would say that for DANCING on ice, Ray & Hayley were the best on the tour this year. Chris is a fantastic skater but relies more on stunts which although impressive, isn't as appealing to me personally.

I don't get your comment about Hayley not doing many Bolero skate-offs; it was her and Chris nearly every night!

Did you actually see Chris skating on the tour this year?? He was absolutely AMAZING thats why people voted for him to do the Bolero every night. Even Ray himself said the only time he won was when Chris wasn't performing, he was just too good this year. He really tried to make it exciting for the audiences and I for one think he succeded!!
