A Glamour model on a similiar theme has no tangible talent and solely takes their clothes of for money to please the dribbling masses.
I don't think that any of the contestants falls into either catergory, even though Metcalfe, Katona and Madeley have all done 'glamour photoshoots' in the past. Whilst you may be dismissive, such images are an underpinning aspect of the portrayal of both men and women (depending on your publication of choice) in the media within Western society. Sexual imagery is hugely important in marketing and whether you like it or not it shows no sign of going away. To reject this at best blinkered and worst grossly naive afterall 'image' was a key factor in the career of Steps (and probably 99% of pop stars past and present) as they certainly did not make any music of critical acclaim, to suggest otherwise would only prove you know little or nothing about music.
I gather every contestant has worked hard to earn their place on the show in their own right, despite my previous misgivings about 1 or 2 people. Simply dismissing contestants as unworthy because your favoured star hasn't made the cut seems a bit pathetic really. *sour grapes*
