HTC Wildfire - indestructible?
Mrs Boat recently left her Wildfire in the pocket of a garment that went through a full 2 hour cycle in the washing machine.
When it came out it was dead (albeit very clean!). I took it to 2 shops who both confirmed the diagnosis, one pointing out the markers inside the phone which had turned from white to red. We got a replacement yesterday, and I thought I'd try the new battery in the old phone just to see if there was any life. It worked. Perfectly. Calls, texts, internet, the lot. All the photos and music are still on the SD card, and all the contacts are where they should be. Are these phones indestructible or what? Anyone else been this lucky? |

The general rule of thumb is that electronics will survive water damage as long as their dried out perfectily before their turned on again.
My opinion is that you got insanely lucky. |
