i've noticed that just recently, when i send an MMS, SMS or use GPRS, nothing is taken away from my balance. say for example: i have £4.50, i check beforehand, then i do one of the above, i check after that, still £4.50...

however, it will go down when i make calls...

is it free? or just plain odd?

Some times these things take a while to update, don't get carried away.

ok, this was a reply on another forum

your credit/balance is stored on the HLR on the network (as opposed to actually on the handset)

It is extremely unlikely that it is frozen especially since it goes down when you make a voice call.

I would say just make the best of it while it lasts
now i know Southampton have had problems recently, wonder if it's anything to do with that, but i used GPRS earlier and it charged me so i guess it's back to normal...
