I've been listening to a bit of John's music, partly due to the remasters. I disagree with a lot of John's views particularly on Plastic Ono Band, but it makes fascinating listening.

My favourite songs are Mother, Isolation, Mind Games, Woman, Starting Over, Watching the Wheels and Nobody Told Me, oh and #9 Dream of course.

The bells on Mother especially are just haunting.

Stand By Me and Nobody Told Me. Imagine is good but so familiar that it stands out less than it deserves to. Power to the People, Watching the Wheels and Living on Borrowed Time are good as well.

Oh so many to choose from. I personally agree with everything Lennon says on the plastic ono band.
My favourite Lennon songs are: Woman, Jealous Guy, Give Peace a chance, Mind games, Oh Yoko, Working Class Hero and God.

But my favourite would have to be Imagine.

I love Woman.

Imagine, on the other hand, I think is one of the most overrated songs ever.

#9 Dream brings back good memories for me, and it's just lovely and fluffy.

Not strictly a Lennon song, a cover

Good topic. I'd say my favourites are probably Gimme Some Truth, I'm Losing You (the version on the Anthology with Cheap Trick), Isolation, Well Well Well, Instant Karma, Bring On The Lucie (Freda Peeple), Out The Blue and his sublime cover of Be My Baby.

Some of the underrated and largely unknown tracks (outside of serious fans) are the most interesting for me. Songs like "Nobody loves you when you're down & out", "John Sinclair", "Luck Of The Irish", "Do The Oz" and "Attica State". Chem 'em out.
My alltime favourite tracks tho are probably Borrowed Time, Mother, Gimme Some Truth, Oh My Love, Oh Yoko & Nobody Told Me.

I like an unreleased song called 'You Saved My Soul', it really makes me laugh, its about when John was feeling suicidal in a Tokyo hotel room and nearly got engrossed in a televangelist.

Yep there are some real gems in the unreleased vaults, just shows the immense talent the guy had. Like the fact he wrote the melody of Jealous Guy in 1968 and couldn't be arsed to work on it properly until 1971! Bands today would kill for a melody of that calibre and it would probably be the best they could do
