I first used a mobile to view DS about five years ago on my Nokia 3650.

Nowadays even a featurephone can use Opera Mini to successfully browse the forums.

I sometimes do too, using an HTC Desire, which like a lot of newer Android phones, features one of the best mobile browsers out there.

I do. I use a Sony Ericsson C510 through Opera browser. Works very well....(that is when Orange are not having one of their many data outages!!!)

We have a mobile skin in the works (similar to http://m.digitalspy.co.uk/) which should make browsing the forums more comfortable. It's not far from being ready to go now.

I use my Nokia 5800 with the standard browser over wifi to browse the forums when the kids or wife are on the PC and laptop.

Sounds good, will look forward to that.

I love the way the HTC Desire HD wraps the text when you double tap, it makes any page even if it's not designed for mobile viewing look like a mobile site. It's really cool and I don't think my iphone did that.

That's freakin' excellent news!!!!

I only use my pms on my mobile (crappy non 3g samsung tocco) because browsing the forums makes me poor fone cry and my poor eyes bleed.

Most excited about a mobile skin tho, I'll be even more perma-DSing then

I'm interested in getting a new mobile phone. I have asked these 2 questions because I wanted to know what phones would be able to give a good internet browsing experience.

The phones that I'm interested in are discussed here.

Opera Mini is a wonderful bit of software. I managed to use a Nokia 2630 to browse DS for a while, not recommended but was doable on an extremely basic phone. I use an Alcatel now, again with Opera Mini 4.
