What sort of reaction do you think Shell will get when she leaves?

Being a Shell fan I hope it'll be all cheers, but I think it'll probably be similar to Vanessa's reaction from the crowds, but not as bad. What do you lot think? I'm not really a big BB fan, you see >_>

I think there would be quite a few Booos and Hisss in the mix. And she is as Bad as Van she just does hers (bitching) in a cute hippy sort of way. Complaining about chicken nuggets, what did the little yummilicious nuggets do to anyone?

PS: dart board of Jason's head in this week's heat!

The little buggers were very expensive when shopping on a tight budget for so many people.

Not that it will be much of an issue next week.

I've no doubt she'll get a little bit of hassle from the crowd, which IMO will not be justified. People seen to have a problem with her accent for one. If anyone were to keep not, I think the only remaining HM to have "bitched" less than Shell is Stu (and maybe Becki, but she's hardly has had the time).

And fags are quite cheap especially when nadia smokes enough to pullute a small island. It has nothing to do with her accent to me it is as common as the next accent ( i don't get the accent thing). She deserves as much hassle as michelle and Vanessa because she is as much of a Slapper as Michelle and Vanessa.

Why do any of them deserve hassle, though (other than being a contestant on a truly odd gameshow)? Have they done anything bad? Shell streaked a bit. It made the other HMs laugh (the point I think) - lets face it, streaking is funny (how childish am I?!). Michelle actually fell for a guy in there (yes, I have a sinking feeling it's real). What makes them "slappers" for it? Okay, I would question Vanessa's motives, so we'll move on from that.

I'm all for the panto "booing" of the "bad guys" (much as I think the bad guys are a breath of fresh air for this show), but some of the legitimate bile spouted at the most inoffensive people is beyond me. People seem to have made their minds up that 80% of the contestants are "bad guys" for the most trivial of reasons, this season.

Then again, it's early.

Pass the coffee.

I just think it would be hypcritic of the public to boo michelle for streaking and being a slapper/bunny boiler. Then Cheer Shell for being the same!

Precisely my point. Why boo either? And as I said, I don't see why people are calling Michelle a "slapper". Not as if she's been putting it about or anything. She seems to be genuinely besotted with the young lad, and hell, she was tenacious in getting him!

Too much hate, not enough nicotine around here.

Given the fact she's not done a lot in there, I would say the correct crowd response should be indifference.

Complete, silent indifference

Ah, I can dream

reason why shell should get booed:
for being the first one to crack when BB did the money countdown on kitten's eviction (need money for your family? get a job, bint)

reason why shell will get booed (not justified IMO):
for being a toff and a nugget-'nazi'

I have a feeling Shell will get booed quite loudly when she leaves. I don't think that's ever OK, lets face it, she will be leaving because we, the viewers, have voted her out and so we should be cheering and happy because she's not in the house any more. I'm not a Shell fan, I think she's drippy and wet behind the ears, but I really don't want to see her booed.

Hey folks,

Maybe I'm thick, but what the heck is "panto" booing? Are you talking about "pantomine"-style booing, like during one of those old-style plays where the crowd playfully boos and hisses at the villian and cheers on the hero? If this is so, why does Shell keep saying that when people will leave it will be "panto" booing? To me, especially in a situation like that, booing is booing. It sounds like Shell is making up little excuses to make herself feel better (especially if she gets booed - which I think she will). As if she will say to herself, "oh, they were booing, but it was pantomine booing (aka not real booing) so everything's fine".

Am I totally wrong about this?

Yes, you are thick( j/k ) Errr.... BB is an entertainment show. The contestants are, to a greater of lesser extent, playing roles, partly of their own making and partly of BB's. The producers then edit the feeds, and change cameras, an create situations (e.g. the bedsit) to creating interesting and entertaining "plotlines". Should I go on?

Plus, or course, whatever gets you through irrationally judgmental "mob" mentality, is all good.

I don't think she'll get booed much because irritating as she can be, she hasn't really done any backstabbing.

If she came up against Michelle in the nominations though I think she would be voted out - at the moment.

Hey Histeria,

Thanks for the reply, but I know all about the show. I watch it religiously (but thanks for the breakdown).

Maybe I'm confused because as an American, we don't really do this panto booing thing. We like our bad guys to be bad guys and our good guys to be good guys (and many times we like the bad guys more than the good guys - the good guy is often weak - practically a sin in our society). None of this - I'm gonna to pretend boo you and your on-camera persona, but it's only because you're a pretend villain and deep down inside, I really, really like you as a person so don't take it personal. In the States, someone like Victor would be cheered with vigor and someone like Stu would be booed so badly he'd have to move to, oh, I don't know, China maybe?

Victor to win!

the main reason I dislike Shell is NOT because of the accent or the seemingly complete naivety about being on National TV (which I think is all an act, she's totally playing the game, which is fine in itself), it is her streaking. Let me explain. Streaking, as an activity is fine (although I won't be doing it anytime soon as I don't think the world really needs to be subjected to my flabby bits). She is in good shape and why not if she feels the need? What I dislike is the fact that she did then lawnmowing in the nude and then turned round and accused Ahmed of being a letch and seeing her as a sex object. Quick tip love, if you don't want to encourage someone's advances, then don't strip off in front of them.

Well, She isn't as bad as Vanessa.. not by a long long chalk.
The only problem I have had with Shell is her fluffiness, and insistence that everthing should be just as it was on Brownie Pack holiday. I think she is a lovely girl, who doesn't deserve boos.. but does deserve to not be taken too seriously, as she has refused to see and confront the injustices caused by the behaviour of others in the house. I think she is a total wimp for nominating Marco for eating chicken nuggets when there was Victor and Jason who frightened her so badly on Fight Night. She is a fairly nondescript sheep-woman without anything particularly nice or nasty.. I hope she gets a reasonably OK reception if only for her achievement in her results

You could almost say it's a bit inconsiderate when you're amongst people who are sexually frustrated who could feel more frustrated after seeing something they normally associate with sexual arousal.

Not really on topic, but don't want to waste a new thread - can anyone enlighten me as to why Shell was crying (as shown on 10pm show last night)? Had to take a phone call and turn the volume down ( )

Thanks in advance!

Sleep deprivation and (probably) worrying about her exam results. She also had a splitting headache

She was told that she had earned a first class honours degree. It was one of the pieces of info she wanted to be told in the house.
