Cher's voice - judging it from last night - would suit a Within Temptation song. Haunting and beautiful

Cher could do a rock-rap track, like maybe Linkin Park's "One Step Closer".
Would be great to see her screaming "shut up when I'm talking to you!" at the judges. |

One Direction - Meh. |

Are we seriously led to believe that Cheryl knows who Within Temptation are, she didn't even know who RATM are.
The judges wont stick to the category, so don't get your hopes up if you think Wagner is going to sing Master of Puppets or Cher is going to sing Angel of Death, you lot should no better |

She doesn't have the vocal range for a Within Temptation song.
Also like the Linkin Park/Jay Z suggestion

Matt should sing Dakota: Sterephonics.
Aiden should sing Invincible: Muse. |

The definition of rock on the x-factor is a million miles to the real thing. About the most left wing the x-factor will get when it comes to rock are those one hit wonder Kings of Leon. So dont expect any decent choices.
