I/R transfers with 7250I
Is it possible to transfer pictures via infra red using the 7250i , I've heard conflicting opinions on this ?

As I recall the Series 40 Nokia phones (incl. the 7250i) have a crippled IR system that only allows transfer of contacts. Certainly when I had a Nokia 6800 there was no way to transfer ringtones, pictures to or from the phone using IR.

Definately possible. I've done it.
Nokia may have crippled the PC data suite version 6, i'm not sure, i've never used it. But the Oxygen Phone manager ii does it just nicely... http://www.oxygensoftware.com/download/ The demo version is restricted in terms of what you can up load to the phone, but not what you can down load. it's cool, try it. |

Are you trying to transfer photos from your mobile to your computer, or from your mobile to somebody elses mobile?
I've got the same phone as you and I don't think it's possible to transfer photos from the Nokia 7250i to another mobile. To transfer photos from the Nokia 7250i to your computer, however, you could just buy a cable off eBay that comes bundled with software for £10; that's what I use and it works fine. |

Oh i assumed you meant to a computer.
You can't do it to another phone, i believe nokia nobbled this at the request of the networks. |

Nokia PC Suite (Free from Nokia's Site) will defiantely let you do it via IR.
