I assumed that it wouldn't but good point. Anyone know?

Cheers Graham. I realised that the software was available but I didn't know if the HDR allowed you to downgrade or not i.e. is it a one way upgrade only street?

Yes you can go back, in fact I just that just to test something before reinstalling the beta/

Thanks. And thanks for the other reply too. I will try the beta tonight when I get the chance.

I have just heard that someone on loader 7.54 had problems in going back - but Ray-don thinks he has a solution for him.
1.00.15 is rock solid.

This update seems to have been in use by a lot of people and seems to be working properly.

So why no news from Humax as to when it will be made available via OAU?

(Rhetorical question - they would have problems organising a drinks party in a brewery - but once they had it would probably be quite a good drinks party!)

My guess that it concerns the ITV player.
I would quite like a Microsoft style beta/release reporting site where you could post bugs/suggestions/comments and they could replay (in due course) with Confirmed/By design/Solved in release/Will not solve in this release/Not our problem

They do have a contact form specifically for feedback on the ITV Player functionality. Even an automated response would have been nice.

You've forgotten already? You told me it was on the Eleventy-third of Octember remember?

EDIT: installed the beta and seems fine. BTW, the easiest way to see that the clock is correct is to switch off power saving in standby mode so that it shows the clock. You will see it's fixed when it boots up. Of course I still understand that people want to test their schedule recordings but I just wanted to point it out.

I have to admit that that was purely a guess on my part. Apologies if anyone thought it was an official Humax announcement.

A guess? Noooooooooooo. I thought you were genuine. I even tried to add a reminder into my calendar but it wouldn't let me enter the date for some reason...

The only major change I've noticed with .15 is that it won't let you add a recording from the Guide whilst it's downloading the EPG.

It does not wipe out your schedule.

It does seem to take an awfully long time to download the EPG after pressing Guide, and I'm sure that sometimes the 'Downloading EPG Data' message doesn't disappear until you press other keys. As a result I've now started using the Schedule > Red shortcut.

The old one doesnt let you do that either.

It wiped my schedule twice. I went back to the previous firmware. Still I've no idea why this happened.

Strange, normally only a reset does that. It's stored on the hard disk drive so no real reason to delete it.

All is normal for me.

I never understood why it does this each and every time you go into the guide. Was hoping they would have fixed this by now but I can live with it.

Also, the schedule was fine for me. Nothing wiped here and all seems reliable.

Just how do you restore to the previous version of the firmware please?

Update: I'm being silly, I forgot to alter the file name.

With the new x.15 beta firmware I have just been able to pause a recording then go into the EPG. I am sure this was not possible with the old firmware or am I misremembering? Could someone still on x.13 check for me please?

afaik it's the same as V13, if you are using tuner 1 then you get automatic access to the buffered epg (normally requiring schedule/red). If tuner 1 is not in use guide gives you a new guide from EB1. schedule/red gives you instant access to the buffered epg while a recording is paused on both versions.

I decided to uninstall the Rayden software on my hard drive, upgrade to the latest firmware and then install the latest Rayden software. I think it was a case of being on the old Rayden software that was giving me the problems. So far all seems good and my schedule hasn't been wiped.
