Tried 1.00.11 that Far-lands kindly sent me, it goes in fine but it didn't update the bootloader, still bloody stuck with this 7.50 factory version, tried to re-flash 7.53 goes in OK but when it re-boots still the old one!!

Same here. Looks like a definite call to Humax tomorrow.

Yep, they'll probably say no solution only to return the box for an expensive repair!

They might send a fix by email? Can always hope. They must have fix somewhere, after all, otherwise anyone who downloaded that firmware is stuffed, including their engineers - they have got to have a simple way to reload another loader?

fingers crossed!

Thank the Lord they didn't release this junk before Christmas.

I rather suspect that this is for a special purpose and for sure is not the intended release. The ID that loaded it "Humax Testing" is different from the other updates and it has no release notes.

Best of luck.

(I was almost in the same boat as you all.)

A word of advice to others, never ever ever install Beta firmware onto a device unless at least one of the two following have been confirmed:

1. Others have already installed, tried and tested it.

or

2. you are able to recover your hardware from bricked mode with the appropriate hardware/software tools required.

1 That's what we were doing trying and testing it for others!

2 Not bricked, only really a problem with the HDMI connection displaying a green screen after a few minutes. otherwise the box is functioning normally

Surely HD over HDMI is a core function of this machine? It *is* a biggy.

Agreed, but if we could bet the correct loader back in the box it would be OK seeing as I have the latest official firmware back in and working.

Sadly that involves a risk.

I never said it was, be prepared for the worst and that would be a brick.

My post was not aimed at any one poster but everyone.

I assume this was actually released as a mistake, seemingly being an old version.

Certainly looks that way. Their was version some time a go which I tried, but had some on screen message so had to go back to the official version, but never had this hassle that time!
