I recently got an Android phone but the MP3 side of things is crap, so was thinking about getting one of these, after reading some reviews I have noticed some say they can be laggy, have you noticed this? Also could I connect it to my TV to play videos through the TV?

I thought you already had an iPod touch, an iPhone and an iMac?

And not sure if it is the same Dave about to buy the newer iPod touch.

Not really - pain in the bum to synchronise (iTunes is awful) and when my failed just over a year old the repair suggestion from the Apple shop was to buy a new one! I actually use my Android phone and find the lowest volume level is to high (on the headphones!)

I don't know how crap Android is, but iPod is crap, too. They are not bothered to make an audio part any special. I'd try something like Sony.

Yes. Sony or Cowon.

The sound quality from an iPod is average to say the least.

Had my ipod classic two years now. Totally love it. It sits at home in a docking station, mostly music, but a few films. Never had any problems apart from the occasional reset.
No lag.
