I'm sure she would have done X-Factor if the powers that be would have let her.

She's at #25 after 24 hours. Not too bad considering she has had barely any promotion and no video or radio play whatsoever. In comparison, Roll Deep have had to previous number one singles and airplay for the new single yet they are behind Nadine.

I know

If people don't make number 1, people on here are already preparing their own press release for when the label announce they are dropped

Very stupid

tbf this was a not a no 1 issue. Just that I expected Nadine to be in the top 10 which promted the question. I do think she has a lovely voice.

@danwootton:

Chart disaster for Nadine Coyle. She's only No 35 in the midweek charts, selling just 3212 copies of Insatiable so far

Messy Little Raindrops is #1 atm.

She never had a real chance unless radio played it because beyond that, there's barely anywhere to go for impacting promo these days. Especially if you're cock blocked from The X Factor.

and not everyone wants to rush to tescos to buy the album. i think thats a big mistake. not everyone shops there, so will lose alot of casual buyers

To be honest, I think if this had been a case of her wanting massive sales, she would've kept the album with a conventional record label rather than her own label distributing through Tesco. She wanted to make an album she could be proud of, and so did not compromise that for huge sales. Good on her.

To be honest, it's her own fault if it flops. She chose Tesco as her label for god sake...ridiculous decision.

Cheryl said no. Didn't want to be upstaged in the singing department by her (ex) bandmate.

We already have a Cheryl in the market, there is no need for 2 of them. It's her own fault for being a copy cat.

there is only ever room for 1 of the band to be successful and that was cheryl. Same for boyzone, it was ronan, stephen flopped, take that, it was robbie, mark and gary flopped.
She too late and should have got in first.

It's shame because Nadine is the talented one and she's not copying Cheryl Confused. She's not trying to be a cheryl though, Cheryl's all about the dance and stage props and Nadine is all about the singing performance like Leona Lewis I would say. There are lots of female artists and they all have a share of the music market.

currently number 20, so should be in the top 30 in tommorrows update. Hope it gets a top 20 placement.

Spice Girls, Mel C, Geri and Emma all had decent UK career's. - Mel C sold masses of her singles and Geri had 4 number 1's.
