Just read this on his official twitter. I for one think this will be a big loss to the show. I've always liked him on the panel and nine times out of ten his comments were fair. I just hope that we don't end up with another dance judge. Two is more than enough.

So who would you like to replace him?

I am sorry to see Nicky go. His scoring could be erratic but his comments were usually sensible & constructive.

Whoever replaces him I hope to god that they have a skating background - a panel with 3 non skaters would lack credibibility.

I hope they don't replace Nicky at all. I'd far rather they drop the number of judges to three, so that there will hopefully be enough time for every judge to comment after each performance.

If they are replacing him, though, then it really should be with another skating judge rather than another performance judge.

Nooo! He's my least favourite judge but the show needs him, a bit like Louis on X Factor lol. Although his scoring was often overly generous towards the male celebrities, it usually balanced out Jason's low marking.
There has to be a new skating judge otherwise it will just be a dance competition!

I would like to see Kieron Bracken as a judge. His judging on the DOI tour was very fair.

Oh that's a shame. I mean, I sometimes did have my problems with him; his scoring could be erratic and his comments downright bizarre at times. But underneath it all he did know what he was talking about. And he was certainly a character, without veering into pantomime like Jason.

I think 3 judges seems like a good idea too. Failing that, all I ask is that the replacement have a skating background.

I really like Kyran and he was a good judge on the tour but in all honesty I would much rather see him skating than judging.

So would I, but he's still a good judge!

Saw his Ice Party in Blackpool last week and it was amazing!

I hope they don't get Louis Spence on the panel, but at least if he is sat down we won't have to have his @rse shoved in our face every 2 minutes

I'd much rather they got rid of Jason who is a complete and utter waste of space as well as downright nasty - at least Nicky knows what he's looking at and appreciates the technicalites of the programmes the couples do.

I read an article in closer magazine today about Kerry Katona, and her taking part in DOI was mentioned 5 times, so much for keeping it a secret!

3 Judges would be better, Karen, Robin and Kyran....Kyran has experienced life as a DOI Contestant and would have empathy and could also give advice on technical issues!

Lilia would be good as she was an iceskater before she took up dancing and could judge from a technical and a performance point of view!

fingers crossed she is - I think she would be great on the DOI panel.

Plus she will understand what its like for the pro skaters as well.
