Started her career at the age of 13 by self funding her single "Fate Stay With Me", a few years later she released her self titled album "Alanis" and follow-up "Now Is The Time" collectively spawning eight hit singles in canada. It was her third album "Jagged Little Pill" that set her on for worldwide success in 1996. The follow up to that, "Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie" was a complete change to her previous album but her 2001 LP "Under Rug Swept" took her back to a more mainstream sound, as this the 6th album "So-Called Chaos". A "Collection" album followed in 2005 and more recently, well 2008, she released her last album "Flavours of Entanglement". Alanis is currently on a break from music, and is due to give birth to her first child next year. A new album will probably be out in 2012/13 as most Alanis fans know she likes to take her time.

I think a thread was going asking this exact question about a week ago... I thought this was the same thread...

Anyway... my answer - You Learn / Forgiven

My question... Apparently pre-JLP she was a dance music artist ?? Just wondering if those albums had ANYTHING acoustic rocky pop similar to JLP that would be worth checking out... or is it really different?

Easily Head Over Feet. It sounded even better 3 years after it was a hit.

There's already a thread on this as someone has also said. I'll still say Hands Clean, though!

I wouldn't say it was dance more pop. Its worth checking out if you like catchy pop tracks There are some videos on you tube (Walk Away) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_LFnEoG62Q Feat. Matt LeBlanc

or the ballad No Apologies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMFgX...eature=related

A fan favourite is Too Hot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ar7afdfBHj4

Love all of Jagged Little Pill but if I had to pick one I'd say You Learn.

That's the only album I have though as I only recently got into her and I thought I'd start with Jagged Little Pill and go from there if I really liked it. I only bought it a couple of months ago. But I plan on getting some more probably for Christmas.

I also love Uninvited.
