iPhone YouTube app help.
Hi everyone,
We all know that Google like to look at things that work and we enjoy. . . then do something that pisses us off by making it useless, less user friendly and all round more pish but I was wondering is this problem happening to anyone else. The YouTube iPhone app. Working wonderfully for 2 or 3 years now. Now when I click "Subscriptions" and log in (I don't usually have to log in , i've been logged in for about 2 years now, but I logged in). . .and then get told. . "You must log in to YouTubes website to continue. I duly obliged and headed to the website using the link provided. . .I'm told to enter my username, password and then a tediously hideous and hard to comprehend keyword that uses a series of random letters. After I fanny about with that for a while I log in and im in the m.yoututbe.com site, all logged in. I think , OK I've done what's been asked , I'll head to my YouTube app but have to repeat the entire process infinitely for the rest of time. Why? Why must Google/YouTube find ways to **** everything up? |

I prefer the mobile site (and have saved the bookmark to my homescreen) and no longer use the app. I believe the new mobile site is HTML5 so the app is no longer required really - shame it is one of the ones you can't delete!

I put undeletable Apple apps such as the bundled YouTube app in a folder called 'Useless'. |

I had this problem too. For some reason, the username is your gmail address & password is your gmail password, not your YouTube username & password it asks for...

Agreed. I never bother with the YouTube App. Just have a shortcut saved on the Home Screen to http://m.youtube.com
