Quite simply, when is the Nokia E7 released and anyone know if it has any problems like the Nokia N97?

Supposedly out at the end of January 2011. So not long to go!

I'm hearing January too. Yet another missed release date for Nokia. Hopefully their new policy of only announcing phones when they pretty much ready to be released will start kicking in soon!

Shouldn't have any problems like the N97 did. The reason it was so buggy was because Nokia tried to shoehorn a touch interface onto S60 instead of rebuilding it properly. Now with Symbian^3 (or just Symbian supposedly) the experience is a bit antiquated but pretty much bug-free.

Apparently Nokia aren't making any more Symbian handsets so the future looks bleak for this one...

Got a source for this? Sure you're not getting confused with them saying that they're going to be developing Symbian organically as opposed to iteratively?

If you believe the chronically inaccurate rubbish spouted on Gizmodo, this is the case.

For the rest of us who live in the real world, Symbian has a strong future - less than a week with the N8 and its probably the best phone I've ever owned. Definitely prefering it to Android, and iOS feels like a fisher price toy in comparison.

Latest news is December 10th in selected regions. What regions is currently unknown, but I'd be surprised if UK wasn't one of them. If I hear anything else I'll be back

I think you were a bit eager to post, they meant December 2010

This blog would appear to disagree with you. As would this one and this one.

And this Nokia Twitter feed, that was the source for the original date and was also updated with the correction, says different
