Thank you, you watch the same ITT as I do,imo Darren should get an apology for how Claudia treated him last night... she is a complete ignoramus of a presenter ,if she can't act giddy she don't want to know.

I think it was aimed at The Machine, not Darren.

Claudia wasn't rude to Darren, but did make it clear that the machine was a waste of time, I also thought the way she did it was funny too.

Claudia is fab on ITT precisely because she isn't a dancer but a fan of the show, it comes across clearly.

It was rude because he had obviously been asked to do it like that, and couldn't just break away from it when she started making fun of it. So she was acting as if it was all pointless, but he had to carry on with it anyway.

She should have more respect for him than to make him look stupid for something he had no choice but to do.

I got the impression that Ian was no more a fan of the machine than Claudia is whereas Darren seems to like it.

being a fan of Claudias and usually sticking up for her , I saw her as rude .,She not have meant to be rude , she may not have set out to be rude , but she came across as rude
She seemed to ridiculing Darren and maybe she thought she was being funny , but I was uneasy and uncomfortable watching it ., I found it rude and not at all funny and a bit petty to be honest .

I think it must be different perceptions then Abba?

I'm a stickler for politeness and dislike outright rudeness. I felt that it was the machine she was taking a pop at, not Darren

None of us know what Claudia was thinking unfortunatly ,,but only see what we percieve to be .She may have been having a pop at the machine , but she was speaking to Darren and didnt make that clear .

I think it probably was the machine she was taking a pop at....but it came across as she was mocking Darren, which isn't right. I thought she came across as surprisingly unprofessional last night to be honest, it's a side of her that hasn't really been seen on ITT before and that I hope we don't see again. If she was trying to be humourous it was a bad error of judgement.

Agreed- probably her aim was to mock the machine and not Darren but I didn't like the way it came across.

It was Darren who first used the machine and he raved about it (perhaps was it his idea in the first place?). Ian clearly had no chance to try it out and couldn't use it properly and I think Claudia's attitude to the machine is just a running cynical joke.

I don't think she has been rude to anyone this year. She's just been her usual self, trying to get through a tightly timed live show - the shorter the show is the tighter the timing has to be.

Her empty headed Bimbo act makes her a lot of money

I can't stand the way she interupts with mindless twaddle either.

If I miss the show now I don't lose any sleep over it.

I got a phonecall halfway through Darren's piece so missed the last half, but he seemed to be doing a good job of using the machine to illustrate what he meant and he did give a lot of good constructive insight and advice.

The whole perspex frame thing does look daft - I thought Darren just used a laptop the previous time? Its a laptop, not a 'machine'.

I was busy listening to Darren in the first half and didn't pick up any bad vibe from Claudia.

I like Len's masterclass - he does answer the questions and tries to make it entertaining.

I've mostly loved ITT this year and I really like Claudia. She has me in fits of giggles half the time and the show can also still be serious and interesting.

The midweek report last night did seem a bit strange and the digs at the machine/Darren's use of the machine didn't quite work. It's only natural though that occasionally a segment will not come across in the best way. It's live TV and Claudia's not a machine (ohhh... excuse the pun), so these things can happen and something will seem a lttle off from time to time.

Most of the time I think Claudia does a great job though, especially as she tends to have a knack for creating great chemistry between her and those she is interviewing.

Len's dance clinic is excellent. He's a great teacher.
And dig out some youtube clips of the Irvines and the Gleaves. That IS dancing.

One of the best around from what I've heard.

to be honest all the Claudia knocking is a bit over the top . ITT is very much her baby and she has made it the success it is , the fact that occasionally she has an off day is hardly suprising . As for being rude to some other I expect the psoter means that couple who were on a week or so ago. They seemed to have no isea of the sprit of the show and were very seious in a lighthearted show , I dont think Claudia was rude to them I do think that given the fact that the nterview was obviously not going as the host of the show expected that were a bit slow on the uptake to change what they were giving her , I dont hink they will be asked back. If you are asked on a show I feel it is only right to do some research and fit in with the style of the show. ITT is not a serious dance show the same way the SCD is not a serious dance competion and for those who want both to be serious , that was tried before and failed in this televison era.

I dont know why you would want to watch the show if you dont like Claudia , Bizzare!

Would be interested to see what proportion coverage each couple gets. Pamela & James get loads of coverage, Gavin & Katya are rarely shown. Ann & Anton gets shoved down our throat.

Going by previous years each couple get the same coverage unless they are not near the studio during the week, in which case there are usually featured on the Friday show.

Certainly haven't noticed any couple getting more coverage than any other - and it is usually noticeable if that does appear to happen (e.g. a couple is on near the end of one week and the start of the next).

I think part of the problem is there are so many couples at the start. You then have to figure in other things such as other commitments at the time of filming. You can't expect all the contestants to keep their life on hold for a few hours 5 days a week for a few months, just in case they get the call to do the show, especially when they are only going to be on screen for about 5 or 6 minutes.
If I lived 3 or 4 hours away and was asked to travel to London to do that for 5 minutes and miss time with my family I would say no thanks.
You may find the ones that appear the most are the ones that live closest to the studio.

Also I think a lot of it is down to personality. What is the point of inviting a guest on if they barely speak? The show is light hearted and fun so of course rightly or wrongly they will have an preference to the contestants that fit in with that.

I certainly haven't noticed that any couple has been showed down our throat. Quite the contrary, this seems to be the first year, where it's pretty even (every couple appears on ITT). There was also a segment with Katya this week, and we have seen loads of Gavin's mirror antics and shirtless moments.

Should'v e reserved my scepticism for the right thread, I just find the whole 'FUN x 3' thing tiresome, especially being told how hilarious something is, and to me the whole A&A thing isn't. Perhaps that's skewed my impression of the coverage?
