Marcus Brigstocke on "You're Fired"

Crikey, he owes his agent big time.

A supposed comedian, when is he going to say something funny ?

I thought the bambi and thumper thing he said was funny.

He clearly fancied Paloma. It struck me as inconsistent with his usual stance that he was buttering up to someone as manipulative as her.

I didn't get a vibe that he fancied her, to be honest.

I thought he just fancied himself ?

I thought the Bambi/Thumper and beard comments were funny

The Bambi/Thumper comment was fantastic.

I thought the "...and this tie used to be another tie..!" comment was quite witty...but then again he is more an intellectual comedian so a lot of people wouldnt get his humour, who think Russell "I'll do a west-country accent and throw in the odd comment about a bungee-jumping squirrel" Howard is hilarious.

He's very funny but it's not accessible, slapstick humour. I don't mean that in some highbrow "only us intellectuals will get it" kind of way, because there's a lot of comedians / humour that I DONT get, but if you are on the same wavelength as Marcus he is hilarious.

It's a tricky balance. Guest comedians can hog the limelight on shows a bit too much if they aren't careful. I though he contributed pretty well, but ensured that it was Paloma's night, which is what it should have been.

is it a rule they have another comedian, so he and Dara can have "battles"

not required really.

Dara is showing that Chiles wasnt so hot, isnt he?

I agree with you.

It wasn't a stand up show. He added the right amount of humour.

Yup, I absolutely agree with you.

My 17yr old daughter is very astute and that was the first thing she said as well.

I hate Your Fired. The 'comedians' are just so annoying and not funny.

He got the biggest laughs from anyone on the panel, so I don't know what the OP is talking about.

Bambi/thumper, tie from another tie, didn't know I had a beard etc. all funny comments.

Is it me or is the BBC being steadily consumed by shows involving comedians sitting behind desks?

He is funny, very good as sublte comedy. He's into politics and was very funny on Question time once.

He was talking about people moaning about why their wasn't a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty and when people said their was a petiotion for one on the Downing St website, he pointed out that it was done by a group called "I want a referendum dot com"! It was well funny! You had to see it to realise etc

He's a funny guy and had a great show on BBC3 - I've Never Seen Star Wars

He was OK yesterday, much funnier than Dara, who I don't really find that funny. Highlighting the "this dress was built for you" was funny and the "bambi and thumper" thing was funny, but he went on about it a little too long.

What was wrong with him? There were 3 panellists plus Paloma and Dara, he wasn't there to dominate proceedings but to make sure there were a few laughs - which he did.

Why do certain people think that wherever Paloma goes, the males fancy her ?

First it was Nick, now it's Marcus; wonder who's next ? she's not that hot (take away the make-up and lighting and you're left with a very average Jane).

Oh, and I think she's had some (minor) surgery done too..

I don't think Marcus fancied her. Or Dara for that matter.

I didn't think Marcus fancied Dara either
