I didn't like Paloma but....

.. fair dues to her for admitting that she lied over the Shibby thing. People were defending her left and right, saying that she must have just "forgotten" about it etc, but in the end, Paloma herself was bigger than hiding behind flimsy excuses.

And I think she's doing well on YF, in front of an intelligent and critical panel. Better than Melissa last week when no-one said anything remotely challenging to her.

Still wouldn't want to work with her.

Haha - me neither, but I'm just saying!

I said at the time that people lie and say whatever is necessary in the boardroom to stay in the show. She wasn't the first to lie and won't be the last.

Yeah, they almost suggested that Liz should have been fired instead

I always thought the defence that she'd 'forgotten' was a rather feeble one. Paloma is sharp. And cunning.

Er, no, YF is the candidates' final opportunity to limit any damage and they often receive coaching to help them achieve it. She could hardly continue lying even if she'd wanted to. 'Fair dues', my @rse.

Yeah, even people like Ben and Debra almost seemed vaguely likeable when they appeared on YF! I never considered that they might receive coaching

I'm not sure anyone said she must have forgotten. I certainly said she might have. Now we know from Paloma's own lips that she hadn't, but it was a possibility on the evidence we had.

I always acknowledged that she might well have lied, but that it was a justifiable lie in the circumstances. Who wants the bitchy remarks they made about a colleague suddenly dragged out in front of said colleague? And who wouldn't deny making them?

The tape didn't prove she hadn't forgotten; how could it have done?
