Nokia 5230 text notification
I have a Nokia 5230 on Tesco pay as you go, does anyone know if its possible to have some sort of beep notification when a text is sent, I have looked in the settings but cant find out how to do it.
Its a pain having to look at the phone to see if a text has been sent. My son has the same mobile on Orange and his beeps when a text has been successfully sent. |

When a text has been sent? Are you thinking of delivery reports? If so, as you're on an "O2 powered network" you'd need to start your texts with *0# to get a report/notification from the network as Tesco (like O2) doesn't support them on the handset.
Orange, T-Mobile, 3, Vodafone, Asda Mobile and Virgin (amongst various others) do support them on the handset though, which is why your son can get them with his handset on Orange. |

Not quite. My old phone a sony ericsson w810i, when a text had been sent you had a little "ding" to let you know it had been sent,
My new nokia phone doesnt do that, if a text is not sent on the first attempt, it will keep on trying every two minutes, but its a pain because you have to keep checking by looking at the screen to see if its been sent. My w810i phone, you could send a text , put the phone down and wait for the ding without keep checking. Its a real pain |
