I have a Nokia 5230 on Tesco pay as you go, does anyone know if its possible to have some sort of beep notification when a text is sent, I have looked in the settings but cant find out how to do it.
Its a pain having to look at the phone to see if a text has been sent.
My son has the same mobile on Orange and his beeps when a text has been successfully sent.

When a text has been sent? Are you thinking of delivery reports? If so, as you're on an "O2 powered network" you'd need to start your texts with *0# to get a report/notification from the network as Tesco (like O2) doesn't support them on the handset.

Orange, T-Mobile, 3, Vodafone, Asda Mobile and Virgin (amongst various others) do support them on the handset though, which is why your son can get them with his handset on Orange.

Not quite. My old phone a sony ericsson w810i, when a text had been sent you had a little "ding" to let you know it had been sent,
My new nokia phone doesnt do that, if a text is not sent on the first attempt, it will keep on trying every two minutes, but its a pain because you have to keep checking by looking at the screen to see if its been sent. My w810i phone, you could send a text , put the phone down and wait for the ding without keep checking.
Its a real pain
