Got one of these for £34.99 in Comet the other week after some research on here, via Which, other sites and looking around the local shops(which seemed £5 off the usual price). It has an answer phone, which I've never had before, only being used to the 1571 option on my old phone. Now that I have both the answer phone and the 1571 as options I am finding that I am missing some calls.
I think I am expecting all my calls to go to the answer phone and haven't been routinely checking the 1571 option, but on checking it I have found some calls lodged there. The question being why don't all calls go to the answer machine?,or can I disable the 1571 option?(is it costing me money anyway?) and, technically speaking, are some calls picked up quicker anyway by one option?
Just curious to see what other's experiences have been like.Nothing inherently wrong with the phone, which is a great improvement over the old one.

Calls go to 1571 when you are engaged on a call.

Dump 1571 and save your F&F money (they cannot avoid 1571 - and therefore having to pay for the call - when you're engaged on a call).
