I personally think it would be better to not include ALL departed pros against the presently competing pros. You could have several votes for various departed pros going up against singular votes for a pro who is competing.

Today the wild card is Brian but tomorrow it could be Lilia, Darren, Ian, Matt, and Brian all counted together.

Instead I would list each one of them separately. Just my opinion.

I did think about that, but it gets tricky to add five extra names who aren't even in this series. Do we stop there, or do we add Nicole, Karen and Camilla too? It's really a poll about this series, but the wild card makes sense for those who have really strong opinions on one or more of the departed pros.

If people feel strongly enough that a departed pro is better than any of the 14 current pros, that is quite telling given that we are now halfway through the new series. But it's not really about how popular they are individually. Just my opinion- but I did give it some thought before I set it that way.

If you don't think it's valid, you could always ignore the wild card vote.

I voted Wild Card as I'm really missing Ian this series but otherwise I'd vote Artem.

Wild card for me, the untouchable Matt Cutler. Was so glad to have him back albeit briefly at the weekend as definitely missing him!

So I typed them out, closed my eyes, pointed randomly at the screen and ended up pointing closest to Ola, so she got my vote!

The only American Boy, Brian Fortuna, is greatly missed this year. My second favourite would be Matt Cutler. In my opinion the BBC has treated its best pro dancers very, very badly by either letting them go or belittling them, as in Darren and Ian's case! So sad!

My fav pros are Darren and Lilia.
Miss Ian, Matt C & Brian too esp in the pro numbers which haven't been as good this series
