Not too well in my opinion. She seems to have a distinct lack of humour and just stands there, po-faced, glaring at the contestants.

Considering that she is no newcomer to the TV screens, she seems nervous and actually quite boring. Certainly not as good as Margaret.

You have got to remember that it took both Nick and Margaret til about Series 3 to have any impact on the show, with their witty comments.

Karren just needs a bit more of a chance.

She only cares whether you have breasts or not, everything else is almost immaterial.

I think she is deeply insecure about her own abilities, with good cause, and views all issues through her feminist perspective. Absolutely revolting.

I have seen her on various programmes and she has barely made an intelligent comment on any of them, instead she has spouted dim-witted platitudes and inanities. Stupid bint.

This show is all about distinct and eccentric personalities, including Sugar and his two assistants. The female assistant needs to be someone with a personality as strong and distinct as Nick's. Margaret had that, but Karen doesn't.

I suggest Ann Widdecombe - she'd be perfect!

This is a ridiculous comment. I've seen no proof on the Apprentice that she favours female or male candidates.

And as for the "stupid" comment. She hardly got to where she is business wise by being stupid.

She's no Margaret, but she is doing a good job and bringing relevent points to the boardroom

Sorry to say it's more Karen Who? than Karen Brady. She's made zero impression with me. I think Paloma would be a good replacement.

She is very stupid relative to people in an equivalent position.

If you are not aware of her obsession with candidates with breasts and the breast agenda you haven't been watching her.

Her performance as one of the interviewers in the interview phase of the year in which Katie Hopkins participated was absolutely appalling. All of her comments about the characters were predicated on their attitude to women and women's issues. The only thing she highlighted with any vigour was Katie's comments that she had problems working with women, she provided no comments of worth whatsoever. On her other appearances elsewhere on the telly she is entirely consistent: she is utterly inept.

Karen is doing very well in my view.

I think the actions of the female contestants have actually increased my opinion of Karen, especially over the past few weeks.

We've had the ultra-agressive paranoia of Melissa, the arrogance of Paloma, the inactiveness of both Laura and Sandeesh as well as the overall 'catyness' or 'bitchy-ness'. By comparrison women like Karen, Liz and Stella show that women can get ahead and be brilliant at business. I know that Karen Brady has the added bonus of already proving herself as a great business woman and I think its great that she is a role-model which shows that nice guys (& gals) do not finish last when it comes to business.

So yeah, I think she has conducted herself with a high level of decorum which is incredibly applaudable. Goodness, I think I'm turning into a Karen Brady fanboi.

I've tracked Karen's progress as an aide for Lord Sugar right from day one. I've observed her positioning and her facial mannerisms along with the measured feedback she gives to both Lord Sugar and to the camera. I've listened attentively to both her praise and her criticism of the assorted candidates bound under her observation.

And do you know what!!

Somewhat contrarily to how I felt about Margaret....and with a great deal of forethought and consideration....I've arrived at the conclusion that as far as Karen's concerned:

The virtues you ascribe to Karen could equally be true of a statue. A Michelangelo piece would have exhibited the same behaviour you seem to value. She does absolutely nothing, she provides no insights, she is inept, she is a non-entity and she only gets excited by women's issues and she has less character than one of Michelangelo's inferior works and she would have trouble winning an argument with his David because at least the statue wouldn't say anything stupid. She is a complete waste of space.

I think Karen is doing well and is what the show needs in a very big way.

When you look at the female contestants almost all of them put women in business in an very bad light. They are overly aggressive, often bitchy and generally unpleasant. Quite often the term "needs to be to compete in an male dominated environment" as some kind of excuse.

What Karen brings to the show is an young professional woman that is strong without those other aspects. If she hadn't got the job then I would have liked Michelle Mone to get the job as she is similar. Very successful in the buisness world and an good role model to other women and young girls that want to have an career in business.

When you look at the comments about Margaret there is a theme about how "funny" she is and her "face pulling" which is great and I enjoy those too, but with the greatest respect to Margaret how much of an role model and an inspiration is she or is she likely to be to young girls and women? How many people say I want to be like an woman in her 50s or 60s? If you say to men who they would like to be like it is usually Richard Branson because he is/was younger and closer to their age.

When you have young women providing so many negative images of women in business on the show, Karen provides an much needed contrast to them.

I disagree with you completely Flossie. With the Katie Hopkins 'I cant work with women' thing, you forget that had Katie WON that season, she would have mostly likely been working with a mixture of both women and men. It would have been no different had Katie said 'I dont like working with men'

Secondly everyone seems to forget that Lord Sugar 'Aides' are NOT specifically there to be the 'wink wink nudge' for the audience and are there to oversee whats going on within that weeks task and report back anything they see as an issue back to Lord Sugar. During boardroom sessions shes pipped in infomation with regularity, mostly being infomation to put the candidates in their place. Aka: Shes doing right there.

That said, while Karren hasnt been as funny/intresting at times at Margret, this is her first series on the show as an aide (I belive Junior Apprentice was actually filmed AFTER this was??).

She has offered some basic information that some youth on work experience in her position could have offered, I think her most outstanding contribution on non-women's issues was simply relaying the comments from buyers to Melissa that she was "annoying". She may have relayed a couple of other comments in other episodes, but they were no more than any sofa-borne viewer could have provided. I am amazed she manages to read the figures from task results adequately, but then presumably she is edited well and can have as many goes as she likes. She is dreadful.

Michelle Mone is another example of the intellectually-challenged inarticulate types who are incapable of providing any insight and logic into a discussion. You really do pick them. But then if you are impressed with Karen then I suppose you would be impressed with Michelle. You are clearly blind to merit and like Karen can only view things through some feminist perspective where the only things that matter are women's issues whereas business acumen, leadership and problem solving are secondary considerations.

Margaret is a hard act to follow.

Sad to say if the cameras weren't on Karren from time to time I'd forget she was there at all. l've not found her impressive because when she does say something it has no impact.

Im sorry but saying she says things any sofa-borne viewer could tell is stupid and contradicts your point about editing. You forget that while Lord Sugar makes the final say in which candidate is fired/hired, he doesnt actually KNOW what went on in the task unless he is actually there to witness it himself. Hence why he has the aides.

On if she says anything other than small snippets, quite likely since the boardroom sessions are cut down heavily from several hours to half an hour each time. Often theres a lot cut out simply because it doesnt gel with the episode structure or that its extra infomation that isnt really needed for that episode. We know theres lots said on the cutting-room floor thanks to S5 when Marget saved James from a firing by reccomending him off-camera to (then) Sir Alan.

I dont get your attacks on her intelligence AT all as shes already highly successful buisness-wise. If she was as stupid as you claim her to be, she wouldnt be in the position she is in currently. (and on that topic neither would Michelle Mone).

Honestly though, from what ive seen from you in the forums ill give a good one, you seem like a nasty vindictive person with an over enflated ego (hence why you seem to look down on everyone. contestants on show AND DS'ers alike).

I suppose the real difference between her and Margaret is that she is not 'educated'. It seems she has not been to university, rather suprisingly with a very rich father.

I go by what they say, and make allowances for lack of experience and youth.

Stuart does say stupid things but he is only 21 and he does say a lot of sensible things and seems capable of expressing himself. Similarly with Laura, she is a bit immature and young but she does say some intelligent things considering her age. Sandeesh is able to express herself quite well, she is rarely stupid and seems quick on the uptake and will develop further.
