I suppose the real difference between her and Margaret is that she is not 'educated'. It seems she has not been to university, rather suprisingly with a very rich father.

I go by what they say, and make allowances for lack of experience and youth.
Stuart does say stupid things but he is only 21 and he does say a lot of sensible things and seems capable of expressing himself. Similarly with Laura, she is a bit immature and young but she does say some intelligent things considering her age. Sandeesh is able to express herself quite well, she is rarely stupid and seems quick on the uptake and will develop further.

So really expressing oneself well is the yardstick.
Not the one I would use! |

Im sorry but saying she says things any sofa-borne viewer could tell is stupid and contradicts your point about editing. You forget that while Lord Sugar makes the final say in which candidate is fired/hired, he doesnt actually KNOW what went on in the task unless he is actually there to witness it himself. Hence why he has the aides.
On if she says anything other than small snippets, quite likely since the boardroom sessions are cut down heavily from several hours to half an hour each time. Often theres a lot cut out simply because it doesnt gel with the episode structure or that its extra infomation that isnt really needed for that episode. We know theres lots said on the cutting-room floor thanks to S5 when Marget saved James from a firing by reccomending him off-camera to (then) Sir Alan. I dont get your attacks on her intelligence AT all as shes already highly successful buisness-wise. If she was as stupid as you claim her to be, she wouldnt be in the position she is in currently. (and on that topic neither would Michelle Mone). Honestly though, from what ive seen from you in the forums ill give a good one, you seem like a nasty vindictive person with an over enflated ego (hence why you seem to look down on everyone. contestants on show AND DS'ers alike). Quite how you see a contradiction about editing and my point that any sofa-borne viewer could offer the same points that Karen Brady offers is weird. You might as well suggest that oranges contradict apples. I haven't forgotten anything with regard to Sugar's position, I was making the point about Karen's performance, you may recall that is the discussion of the moment, and the fact she offered no opinions that could not have been equally well offered by someone watching the programme is pretty damning given she follows a team and should be able to offer all sorts of extra insights that a viewer could not. You then suggest that she might be making all sorts of insightful comments that have fallen to the editing floor, well this is a remarkably biased piece of speculation and as part of your supporting evidence you offer something Margaret did, which is totally illogical. I would counter that she probably makes various inane and invalid comments that are saved from the viewer by the editor. I suspect her timid presence is a result of regretting such comments and realising that she had better keep her gob shut if she doesn't want to look like an idiot. Her success in business has been through her connections and personal life, people like Prince Edward even managed to run a company because they have been force fed from a silver spoon. As for your last comment, I would reply but I can't read it easily looking down from the great height I occupy, so I won't bother and anyway, I have some ego inflation to be getting on with. |

Not the one I would use! Not being stupid involves 1) Perceiving problems correctly 2) Perceiving solutions 3) Expressing solutions and plans well to others 4) Interacting efficiently and effectively with others 5) Not being a plonker A lot of the skills are communication related in group tasks; being able to articulate a plan or position to others is a vital skill. |

I suspect she didn't go because she is stupid, even rich fathers can't buy a place into uni.
I haven't seen enough of KB to make a judgement but Laura constantly looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights when things are unfolding around her, instead of arguing her position she goes into shrill foot-stamping mode, I give her about 3 more weeks max. |

You are talking about the super rich there. Does Karen's dad fall into that category?

Those eyes are hypnotic, I think she must have stolen off a fawn somewhere. There is something slightly evil in there too, she could have a role in a real life remake of the Jungle Book as the hypnotising snake.

I must agree with you that Karen, not being an intellectual is not cut out for this. From her google pages it does seem her father was super rich.
You have not told us where you place the Lord himself. (I mean LS). But I can gather where it would be. I also agree one can be rich and stupid. I havent really seen why everyone gets worked up about Liz. She managed to express herself well, in a well rehearsed pitch. What else? I dont think Joanna is really stupid. She didnt manage to contain herself in the boardroom under pressure, that is all. Stella is the dark horse. She doesnt bother listening to instructions and care too much about the boardroom. She seems to have a detached attitude about the whole thing. As though its all a good joke, and plays along, not a serious contest at all. It doesnt look like that she is really after the job. She doesnt have a background in business, and am not sure why she was chosen at all. |

i really don't mind Karen. Shes nothing amazing but she doesn't annoy me either which means i can watch it without getting wound up by her. Shes just sort of 'there' to me. For the record i couldn't stand Dan Paloma or Melissa and almost cheered when they were fired. |

I've tracked Karen's progress as an aide for Lord Sugar right from day one. I've observed her positioning and her facial mannerisms along with the measured feedback she gives to both Lord Sugar and to the camera. I've listened attentively to both her praise and her criticism of the assorted candidates bound under her observation.
And do you know what!! Somewhat contrarily to how I felt about Margaret....and with a great deal of forethought and consideration....I've arrived at the conclusion that as far as Karen's concerned: " I would..." ![]() Classic!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Karren Brady blends into the background which is a good thing because she's not dominating proceedings. She's no Margaret but she's doing ok and surely not deserving of the vitriol Flossie's giving. Did she sack you from your job or something?

This is the first series I have watched.
What is she meant to do? She's just Lordalan's eyes and ears surely. He doesn't want her to make his decisions for him. He just wants her observations. It's not about Nick and her, surely? For sure she could build up her part and make it more about her but everyone is dependent on editing anyway. I know nothing about the blessed Margaret so I can't make a comparison. La Brady seems to do her job well. |

I do miss Margaret with her withering put-downs, I think I'd cry if she gave me "the look".
![]() Karen's doing okay, not afraid to put the boot in when necessary. |

I dislike her, not because she is obnoxious, she seems quite a pleasant person, but because she is overrated, because she is obsessed with women's issues and views everything through that agenda and because she seems to be lauded by the downright stupid who seem incapable of perceiving her screamingly obvious shortcomings as a business person and commentator. |

She is very stupid relative to people in an equivalent position.
If you are not aware of her obsession with candidates with breasts and the breast agenda you haven't been watching her. Her performance as one of the interviewers in the interview phase of the year in which Katie Hopkins participated was absolutely appalling. All of her comments about the characters were predicated on their attitude to women and women's issues. The only thing she highlighted with any vigour was Katie's comments that she had problems working with women, she provided no comments of worth whatsoever. On her other appearances elsewhere on the telly she is entirely consistent: she is utterly inept. I don't remember the interview your on about really. But I did get annoyed a few weeks ago when she said, your here as business women representing business women at work. I would have said, no Karren, I'm here representing myself. I'm not representing any group of people, only me. |

Karren's OK and seems to fill the role well enough - she can be funny sometimes and is quite observant. But I'm afraid she'll never match Margaret, no matter how hard she tries!
![]() Oh well, if the rumours are true then we'll still have Margaret when we get to the interviews.

This is one of the reasons why I created this post. She's no doubt getting paid a lot of money for appearing on the show, and bearing in mind the way that The Apprentice has developed over the years, she's very disappointing. Nick & Margaret became more than just the 'Eyes & Ears' for Lord Sugar, they developed into true characters who gave us all a laugh. Brady is not entertaining in the least, she needs to step up to the mark and give the licence payers a little more value for money. Otherwise she should be fired. |
