Transferring info to Desire HD
KenT
05-11-2010
The contract was up yesterday on my Orange SE C905 and I talked to them about a Desire HD. I got a very fair offer and did the deal. Their stock is going out as soon as they get it, so it will be in to next week before I get to the top of the list and it arrives.
In the meantime, I had a look on the HTC web site about transferring data across and it can be done by bluetooth.
What is the sequence/situation with having both phones working at the same time? I don't want to activate the new one and then find the old one is un-accessible. Is doing it by PC an option, by the Sony software recognising the other brand of phone, or HTC's prog seeing the C905?
Thanks

the sony ericsson can be put into flight mode and then you should be able to bluetooth contacts, music, photos or pictures over once you have activated the desire hd

but an easyer way will be to transfer all music pics ect to the phone then put sony ericsson into flight mode then activate the desire hd then connect the phone to pc and transfer music ect to the phone

there are plenty of guides on how to transfer files to and from the sony and also the desire hd just use your friend google lol

Both are still useable after doing the transfer, at least that was the case when I transferred stuff to my Desire HD from my iPhone 3G. You turn Bluetooth on, on your old phone, open the data transfer app on the HTC and pair the phones. pick what you want to copy and it's all done in a few minutes.
