I think it's wrong as they wouldn't do it if it was a man and a woman

I think its abit daft seeing as the gay kiss in Christina Aguilera's 'Beautiful' isn't censored, nor is the lesbian kisses in Lady Gaga's videos for 'Lovegame' or 'Telephone' or The Black Eyed Peas' 'I got a feeling'

I'm not gay, but I think it really adds to the meaning of the song, just as it did in Christina's 'Beautiful'. Taking it out of the video is nothing short of homophobia.

Why censor it? I kiss men all the time.

I think it's pretty shocking, I thought we were supposed to be moving forward not backward.

What kind of message does that send out? "Oh I'm sorry, we think being gay's wrong so we're cutting it out of the video." Ugh.

its f&%*$g disgusting, whoever made that decision should be sacked. At such a crucial time in the progress of gay rights there needs to be support for the media representing homosexuality, not people holding it back. Obviously if between a man and a woman it wouldn't be censored so why is it between 2 men? Why has this been allowed in this day and age?

There's a lesbian kiss in Leona's I Got You which wasn't censored either. Very strange decision to censor this one randomly.

I think it's very very sad. there's no reason for it to be censored. Editing it out just gives the message that being gay is wrong, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay.

Its so stupid, and it actually makes me pretty mad. Its such a crucial part of the video that so many people can relate to and its just ridiculous as its sort of going back on the point of the song. Why sensor it on a music video when theres gay storylines going on in soaps and other tv shows etc? I don't get it

To be perfectly honest, I'd have preferred them to just ban it. Pixelating it sends out a more hateful message I think, oddly.

It disappoints and saddens me that this is happening in the UK version. I'd feel the same if it happened anywhere else, but I suppose it sort of gives the message that the UK aren't accepting of the gay community.

What a ****ing joke, as a gay person I'm disgusted that they'd even try to filter this out, its basically a kiss, nothing sexual. This is sick... the state of homophobia in this world makes me sick, just... so frustrating.

i saw the video on chartshow tv a couple of days ago, and it wasnt censored at all. if they really have made the decision to censor the video, then i think its completely and utterly disgraceful! not to mention the fact the original video gives so much more meaning to the song.

Completely ridiculous, does anyone know where I could email/send a letter in complaint? How can they suddenly have this issue once again, and be soooo hypocritical with all the other types of music videos out there?! Even another of Katy Perrys songs- California Gurls, with the cream coming out of her bra- I would find that more offensive/unsuitable for children to see- and I just watched it- that kiss wasn't even a proper kiss anyway!!! Its only a kiss ffs!
